When I worked there in late 80’s early 90’s we line drilled many walls and blasted them off ! 💣 Saw and learned a lot of stuff quickly as a teenager and did things you wouldn’t get away with nowadays !

One of the best company videos I have seen, the narration is exceptional!

Ive never seen a narrator do so much patting on the back though. They deserve it, but wow. Might just be me

P.D.I. rocks the locks. That one was a little scary with the hundred foot rock fall and hundred foot tsunami on standby.

The Welland Canal is fully drained every winter for maintenance. There is still water below lock 1 on the Lake Ontario side.

in my 58 years i have seen first hand what these hammers do to even the biggest machines in a short time, it you stop and think about that force that it takes to brake that concret, the machine it self is geeting that same force all the way to the ground, starts off as main boom pin snaping in 3, then the weld in pin boss brake out, and the more the steel flexs more brakes a part, the life of a machine running a hame is short lived, these operators that run these hammers are good at it, but give them a hole to hold a grade for get it..

That’s why PDI has demolition crews and demo machines and dirt machines with dirt crews that can “hold a grade” as you say.

i be leave it was this same company that took down a fairly new mall here in Thunder Bay Ont many years ago, they had age old link belts smaller excavators, it took them for ever to take it down and even longer to clean everything up, it backed uup the whole port arthur down town for over a year, and at that they still were picking away at it, i have hours of 8mm video of it, they had a time trying to take down the enclosed sky way walk way that went over a down town street, think it was perl street, it was one of that last parts to come down, it was a real shame to have seen this mall built, and also ripped down all in a short time, but thats how this city do things, many big building have been built and 3 to 5 years later ripped down and some other building go in its place, like a toco bell was built here and it didnt last 3 years and it was ripped down, parking lot an all, retaining walls, and anoth fast food chain built, it was ripped down 2 years later, now something else stands there, dont recall at this time, it been a wile since i been by there

Ive never seen a narrator do so much patting on the back. Its a straight forward job. The equipement handled it and i didnt hear any innovation or any tough planing. Just a completed contract. Im not sure so many congratulations are due when all they did essentially was not screw up. Lol. It might just be me.

not even for $1 million what I want to do that that's, that looks like a boring ass job. Well this job site anyhow screw that it would take a year to take out 500 ft of walls.

John Anderson Yeah that's pretty biring and time consuming. Also it is not "Hard Work" when a machine is doing it.
