Fun fact: Mr. Prijon is coming from my town (a small town in Slovenia), his cousin is my direct neighbor, he was working at his factory in Germany, I saw countless Prijon kayaks in my life but Wizard is still new to me :) Great vid as always
My local Kajak Dealer in Freiburg/Germany loved that Boat in the early 2000th and paddled it i think maybe 2 Years. What an artwork of german engineering :-)
They are pretty rare, but there are a couple for sale right now on facebook. Everyone looks at that hatch and scratches their heads. The boat was only around for a year or two before it was discontinued. That particular series of boats did not have enough foam under the seats and was prone to oil canning.
Good morning Wade, I am really looking forward to an on water review of this Grand Ol' Wizard! I have never seen nor heard of the Prijon Wizard. That hull is interesting. At first glance, I thought it had a trihedral hull. Take care Wade, keep up the good work!
Ah, the wizard. One of the worst whitewater boats I have ever paddled. But I wasn't a very good paddler at the time so might just have been my lack of skills. Will be fun to see if you can make it work.
I did not get a chance to take it out I had to leave the next morning so I will take your word for it that it sucks im going to agree because prijon killed it pretty quick and I never see any of these on the river
I'm interested in the cocaine. Never touched the stuff but don't care about the name just would like to know how it paddles since there are so few prijons here.
Completely unrelated but anyone have recommendations for best class 3 and scenic boat trip to rent duckies in wnc, preferably within an hour or so of Asheville? I'm relatively new to the area and have only done things like nantahala, pigeon and French broad. Looking for a good place to bring able bodied novices to take in adventure and scenery. Yet to do tuckasegee or green not sure what else is really close to bring visitors or what people consider "the best" rivers.
