Thanks so much, Matt! For what it's worth I think this is totally up your alley, Genndy's definitely got a deep love of pulp fantasies and Primal feels like the Conan stories distilled to their best parts. It's one of my favorite pieces of animation from the past decade.

This is such a good swries. Like you say, it's not without its faults. It maybe could've used some more episodes to flesh out the backend of seasom 2 imo, but it's all so unique and engaging. The best way I could pitch this is calling it "prehistoric Conan." Don't even tell people that it has very little dialog because so many people have become accustomed to having a story spoonfed to them with excessive exposition. This is one of the best and most accessible pieces of media to teach people how to understand and enjoy purely visual storytelling.

They're all part of Adult Swim's comic con panel! They had this great deep dive on all the elements of the show, Genndy even shared some of his earlier concepts.

Maybe my favorite of his works since Samurai Jack. Unicorn looks really cool, but it's going to be hard to match the sheer inventiveness of Primal and its visual storytelling.

Thanks! Finding a favorite is tricky, Rage of the Ape Men's action is pretty amazing but I also love the emotional power of something like Coven of the Damned. Also, might be a hot take, but I really like how The Primal Theory comes in the middle of season 2 like a bit of a funny breather.
