Within each nation we've visited so far, we have encountered a variety of people and creatures with incredible powers, and that will be no different in Natlan later this year. In this video, I speculate on the Pyro Archon, Pyro Sovereign, and Saurians we could see within the Nation of War.

Also: Ranjit gives some dialogue on (imo) one of Genshin's biggest mysteries: WHY haven't we met anyone from Natlan?? He says that they CAN leave, they just choose not to. So I think it's either due to cultural obligations, and/or that curse theory. Either way, good to see a mystery we've never even heard referenced finally get some dialogue.

Or maybe because if you leave the land of Natlan without a Saurian you will be cursed. And Saurian doesn't want to leave Natlan voluntarily

Definitely a mix of cultural + lore reasons I think. My theory rn is that if you die outside of Natlan as a native "Nateco" (Natec?) person you will be unable to return to the cycle of resurrection (or the afterlife/etc). This idea would probably be why Natlan might not be the desolate war-torn region we think it is, because the inhabitants have a VERY different view of death (and by extension, war) compared to everyone else --> so war is more of a ritual concept, a bit like Aztec flower wars. I.e. To die on your home soil is honorable because you will be guaranteed a place in the afterlife or something edit: idk if this is that curse theory but i'm headcanoning it for sure lol

@@Syiepherze Holy shit, that is an absolute lightbulb moment. If we know reincarnation is a part of Natlan's lore, it's logical to say that leaving those lands would prohibit you from reincarnation, and therefore, who would ever leave?....Dude that makes a ton of sense.

I think all of the Saurians in Natlan are Pyro-aligned, since Ranjit says (or at least implies) that they can breathe fire. This would explain the orange coloring in their designs & visual effects (like the Geo Tepetlisauri burrowing into rock), and how the Hydro one is able to swim in lava. And if you look carefully at the Dendro one, it's not using its tongue like Yoshi, but it's using its stretchy dragon breath to shoot a sticky seed (pause.) and shoot fireballs

I'm pretty sure the Pyro Saurians are the flying ones. The lava we see the Hydro Saurian swimming through is either not lava, or somehow special compared to regular lava.

from what little information we currently have about Natlan, memory and “resurrection” definitely seem to be developing prominent themes! i’ll be very interested to see what the upcoming summer event in 4.8 will be since it usually hints at what’s to come in the next region’s archon quests 🙌

If the nibelung theory holds he may have bathed on the pyro sovereign blood after it was defeated/sealed, gaining near invencibility, which could explain why he's so powerful. Also having he be just a man that is just that strong when compared to gods, imortals, eldritch aliens and dragons makes him way more badass in my opinion.

potential demon names Vine (also Viné, Vinea) is a Great King and an Earl, commanding 36 legions of Spirits (six tribes by six dragons equals 36) and portrayed as a lion holding a snake in his hand and riding a black horse and the name is a bit similar to venessa) Andrealphus a fire breathing spirt Aim (also Aym or Haborym) is a Great Duke, very Strong, and rules over twenty-six legions of Spirits. He sets cities, castles and great places on fire Buné has some connection to death Phenex (also Pheynix, Phoenix, Phoeniex) is a Great Marquis and has twenty legions of Spirits under his command but it’s too obvious and boring to assume this will be it .

Id love to see more theories regarding the Pyro Gem lore we have ingame rn when a new Natlan Teaser drops, the fact that theres a word taken away from it makes me think of the Fire burning memories you mentioned here

As I heard Genshin said Murata's demon name was Aim (or... will be based on the demon duke Aim). Would make sense as Aim is the arsonist of the inferno

If the pyro Archon and the pyro sovereign are the same person I believe that murata knows that she is the pyro sovereign. Neuvillette was reborn and knew he is the hydro dragon he even has memories of his past life. I know Resurrection and Rebirth are two different things but still. I believe it’s more likely that Xbalance (I hope I spelled his name right) is the Pyro Sovereign. But we will see 😊 Great video btw

i feel like murata is dead or is undergoing the process of resuruction because the name murata in hoyo games and close to death and the heavy implications of death, resuruction and birth on the travail trailer during natlans section , with 'the rules of war are woven in the womb ' and 'incandescent ode of resuruction ' could it be that the archon died and is being born again?🤔🤔

I have that theory as well. If she is dead, then when and how do you think she died? Me, personally, I feel like it probably has something done with celestia since in the manga, Vanessa doesn't know the pyro archon, and the manga happened before the cataclysm.

There’s the interesting show of Thermochromism taking place. (A state of matter changing colors due to the temperature changing.) The Ground Saurian is digging in the ground, and it’s digging out rocks of Orange, and Blue. The Swimming Saurian is seen swimming in Orange Lava with traces of Green Lava (this continues in the special floating Lava.) The Dendro Saurian is seen Yoshi’ing a plant-like ball of Orange and Blue Rock that blows up after it’s thrown. These changes in color are Blue and Green tells us that those portions are hotter than the Orange portions. As the Pyro Nation, it’s no surprise that the land is hot … but it’s very hot. The ground is hot, the water/lava is hot, even the plants are hot. I wonder if Natlan is facing … Nationwide Warming? And if this Warm Nation is indeed in danger of Over-Warming, is it a Natural Disaster that’s been waiting to happen, or is it a foreign force endangering the Nation?

I don’t think the Saurians are necessarily elementally aligned, though it’s definitely possible. Iirc they’re all said to be fire breathers which would align them all with pyro, but I think it makes more sense for them to be geographically categorized as opposed to element. We know from talking stick lore etc there are six biomes of Natlan and 6 tribes. And the teaser suggest 6 saurians as well. Would it not make more sense for the saurians to be based on the terrain they’re most familiar with? For instance the Tepetlisauri are “diggers” and live in the mines of Natlan, so it would make sense for the tribe of the mines to form bonds with them and use them to traverse the mines. I forget the names of the other biomes but they’re implied to be canyon, volcano, springs etc so the same could go for them. So TLDR instead of looking at Saurians as “pyro, dendro, hydro etc” we could instead see them as “digger, swimmer, flyer etc”

i feel like the archon being able to rise from the ashes like a phoenix wouldn’t really make sense, and that’s only because of how venti said him and zhongli were the only original left. because she’d still be an original, she’d just be reborn if u get my drift.

As for the two archons of Natalan, I did not understand one who rules and her name is unknown, and one who has been secretly hidden for 1000 years, and she is Murata Who will be playable and how will two archons rule natlan?

I believe that Columbina looks very similar to an axolotl. It’s the red tipped hair and the 3 feather things sticking out from both sides of her head, much like and axolotl. And they are salamanders that stay infant-like their whole lives and are native to Mexico today. What do you think?

The 2nd Element all of these Saurians will be able to use is probably all Pyro. 6 different Elemental saurians with all their secondary element being pyro which is why the Geosaur has lava ish looking cracks when it burrows on land or why that Hydrosaur can also swim on lava.... But that's just my game theory lol

I think Natlan’s ‘sun’ who was said to of cursed a man and his family like could be connected with Murata’s children having bad luck and eventually Bennet (and presumably his tribe/family line) also having bad luck. Perhaps the ‘Sun’ of Natlan is a title of leadership that’s references Xblanque, or the dragon sovereigns or even whoever the archon is at the time. Also what if there are 6 gods of Natlan who coincide with the 6 tribes (children of insert name here) and whatever tribe has their god as the archon is in a superior position whilst the previous tribe (who‘s god was beaten and killed in a battle by the god of a different tribe) are cursed by the sun and their entire tribe is ridden with bad luck until the next tribe’s god is killed and the curse is passed along. And the ‘God’ is reborn like a Pheonix and like how the dragon kings constantky get reborn into their certain tribes and the tradition of war and blood feuds between them continue. My guess is that Bennet and Iansan’s tribal god was cursed by the ‘sun’ with very recently. leading to their whole tribe being cursed. (Iansen’s skull of her Saurian companion could have died due to her bad luck) And also Murata may have been beaten and killed, causing her ‘children’ to be cursed by the sun before Bennett’s tribe, causing them to be kicked from Natlan or leaving to escape the curse, but they continued to have bad luck like being hunted by dragons of other lands anndddd slavery (but now they’re free due to Bennet’s tribe now being cursed, since Nilou and Diluc don’t seem to have the same string of bad luck as their people once did)
