Load probably wasn't available at the time you were inquiring about a load, as you do realize they're constantly getting new loads all day ? Probably came available later on, and given you didn't want to dh previously they just gave you the new load

They always say, "that's all we have" "I wouldn't wait if I was you." "We already working on other loads (2-3days later)" "the market real bad" "you're making right at what other solo drivers make" everything is difficult but that truck payment tho lol 🤣 and it's even more diabolical that there making driver pay for reefer fuel , knowing that it's hot out here we gonna be spending way more now smh
Congratulations on cutting back on Starbucks. I know it's hard to not let yourself have something you really love. I'm retired and it's been years since I could afford even the cheapest Starbucks. I love the coffee I make at home and it's very inexpensive but I know you being on the road don't usually have that option.
You can't have everything your way maybe the trailer on the right side was the same or as close as it was on the left side and some shippers don't hand the paperwork out till you get out of the property
I don't understand it. Every time that I reject the load it seems to give me a better load. I don't reject loads unless I can't make the time, but it's crazy how you'll reject one and then get a better one.
I have never drank coffee somehow the taste never worked for me? Hot chocolate I love hot chocolate. I hear some of the coffee is expensive? The yard jockey bump trailers when parking trailers then move just enough to only have a small space between trailers. Sometimes it requires a lot of time just to get started. Parking is definitely a problem. I can't stay up all night. How do you do it?
Prime has team trucks running high revenue loads with short delivery windows when they are solo runs. Meat loads that have a drop at 90 go to them as well. This is information from teams and trainers that I know. You don't share loyalty cards with your friends? Great video mam
Do you use the CB radio to communicate with other drivers and do you have camera on the back of your truck that shows you what is behind you. Just curious
I decline loads based upon how much time it will take vs pay…. I get paid by the mile so anything under 500 miles better come with good stack or extra pay…. We need to get paid a good hourly rate with ot to get rid of this unpaid garbage…..
Companies ain’t moving they truck unless they making hell of dollars pre miles they own that lease truck u just a company driver paying to drive for them
What drivers forget prime just like any other carrier business has contracted freight. So ofcourse if they have no driver in the area to pick a load up they will try to get someone to take care of thier customer by any means. This is what builds relationships in buisness. rather you break even or lose on a load, its better not to lose the freight all together.. Another issue with lease driver, you guys have no idea how lane rates work in different markets. So ofcourse you might get something twice as many miles with less pay vs a load shorter miles in a better market paying more but since you will never get an actuall ratcon, you will never know..
