I’ve had one of these for about 2 weeks now. It feels so much better then a simple barbell or other safety squat bars. That back plate works wonders for a nice clean squat.
@@suebush4822 Try using their squat wedges, I bought the single 20 degree wedges and it really helps me to get a deeper squat. It might seem like a lof to spend for one movement, but squats are a game changer if done consistently and well. I'd put it right up their with an essential exercise for anyone who is trying to get stronger. Bench, Deadlifts, Squats, lat pull downs, and some slamball work is all you need.
Dang Ive got the Kabuki Transformer bar and this is the only bar like it Ive seen that has made me consider switching…. Those arms look like they’re a big upgrade
Do you see any issues with the back pad breaking or tearing loose from the bar? Or maybe not as rigid from constant flexing? I’m assuming it is foam covered plastic? Seems like a lot of pressure would be on it constantly so it would need really strong points of attachment
Very interesting design. I’m wondering, with that back plate, would it be possible to do a front squat with this design? With a normal ssb, the pad would rest below the chin. But how would that back plate feel?
I have not personally tried to do a front squat, but I don't imagine it working. Is there a reason you would want to use a bar like this to front squat?
Did you guys find that only one screw went through the weight arm that connects to the frame? I had two screws left, and two holes that don’t have treading for the screw. It also doesn’t have a hole on the other side either. Thanks
You certainly could, but I would say most gyms have their squat racking facing the walls so more often individuals are going to need to back out of the rack as we do here.
Yes… we absolutely LOVE it and use it multiple times a week! It’s allowed me to get back into squatting which has been difficult for me and my limb lengths
