07:25 the answer should be.. this laptop was for the people who cannot afford Lenovo of 21,000+ Wi-Fi connection or separate mobile that can provide it Hotspot. This Laptop is someone whose budgeta is very tight like 60% of the Indian population who does not have a Wi-Fi connection also maybe 4G or 5G enabled mobile to provide stable Internet connection so this can be a great tool in the beginning years of a student who can learn and manage to get a job and then buy an expensive one which he can afford eventually.

Please do some research before talking about anything. It's not based on chromeos. It's based on Android. And primeos came out in 2017 when chromeos also integrated play store with it. So no it's not a copy of chromeos.

I seriously miss Ashneer's ideas and comments on this.. he had a more knowledge base and if he was present he would have gone more into technical details like Kitna Upgrade dega.. kitna threading kar lega.. heating issues.. repairs.. service centres etc... The team's sales would have dramatically increased if these questions were posed.. But overall I loved the project..This could fill the gap which Akash tablet (once planned in 2010-11) would have done.

Ghatiya laptop hai. Android chalta hai. Pc apps nahi. Processor 2018 ka Android wala hai. Ram is ghatiya. Graphics Card to nahi hai. Aur display and sound bhi bekar not good for students. OS have many bugs and glitches. I am student who bought this and got scammed, so please don't buy it.

I’ve seen this sharks get more easily convinced by FMCG goods and fashion goods. But surprisingly for all the made in India tech driven products, that can make a difference for the tier 2 and 3 they back out easy. This is exactly where Piyush and Aman shine.

Well, they did not consider the used Laptop market as well. I recently sold my 3.5 year old i5 8th Gen proper windows Asus Vivobook laptop (with 250GB SSD, 1TB HDD, 8GB RAM) with Onsite Go warranty remaining for 1.5 years for INR 15K!! However, we need people to invest in start ups like these, only then India can progress. So this is a good decision. They need to make a laptop that works the Android magic..that is important.

Having a laptop run on ChromeOS has multiple drawbacks. 1. A technical student can't code and debug efficiently using Android apps. 2. ChromeOS doesn't give you exposure to MS365 and relies on the G-Suite instead which can be a drawback for companies that are hiring. 3. Apps that require 3D rendering like blender, CAD etc suffer on Android.

@@k-gos I get your point. But the fact that tablets running Android at a similar pricepoint can handle the mobile versions of Photoshop and lightroom pretty easily makes them a viable alternative. Blender & CAD are out of the sub 25k Laptop league :)

Dependency on china for hardware could be a big problem with the current stand off on border with China. Govt is pushing for make in India and things could take time. These guys should look at alternate supply chain options as well or else timely production and delivery could get affected...

It's not a laptop with windows, intel/amd CPU and Nvidia/Amd GPU... It's a Android OS laptop with Android Hardware. And the fact that it has 4g sim , if they can bring the selling price to 6k-8k .. it will help rural area kid to improve their knowledge through 4g sim internet! ..
