Never seen the Tig finger tool but very dang cool, and as for the welder unfortunately I could definately use it versus the old 70 amp 110 AC jobber that I gotta use for this rv rebuild, yup she's old but unfortunately funds are nadda and I'm just improving and adapting what I have on hand toget where I gotta be, hopefully done the work and mobile for momma's medical anyhow thanks for the videos will check out more

I have a spool gun and you can definitely lay down some bead very quickly.

Your results are impressive. One couldn't expext to TIG weld 1/4" aluminum with a 180A welder. When I TIG weld 1/4" aluminum, I start at around 300A and the throttle down a bit once started.

Greetings Jody. Question about amps and volts and spray transfer in mig welding aluminum. In this video the sound I hear suggests spray transfer. Most info sites tell me that I need at least 200 amps and 24 volts to obtain spray transfer for welding aluminum. The machine and settings that you seem to be using indicate less than 200amps yet the transfer sounds like spray. Are all these sites wrong. Thanks for answering

Tig fingers are incredibly handy, been using one going on 7 years now. Always have at least 2 on me in case a fellow employees fingers start cooking.

I have a Miller Multimatic 215. How much would a spool gun set up for that be? Versus the Prime weld spool gun set up?

How about some thinner material with that spool gun? I kept burning through. Like 12 gage 6061

This is one reason I would love to upgrade to the Fronius Welder & Helmet I got to try out this Spring. I believe there are a lot of push/pull Guns for Aluminum so you can weld Aluminum like GMAW instead of using a Spool Gun (I hate Spool Guns. I find them really awkward) or setting up for GTAW. Fronius is a lot of Money though, but the feature set of their Machines are outstanding. Maybe someone (North American-based) else will come out with a really good machine before I pull the Trigger. I really don't care about brand. I do want a machine that is going to make life easier, and consolidate as much as I can into one multiprocess setup, my shop isn't that big. CK, Lincoln, Miller, eSAB, etc. I know Miller has an XR-Alumapro one, I think Lincoln discontinued one of theirs (I think the Magnum pro is still available.) I recently came across (I might have known about them before but wasn't looking) MK make a lot of Puzh-pull type Guns like the Python, the Python X/LX/, Cobra, Cobra X/SX/MX/MX-HD some of these are Air Cooled up to 225A and others are Water Cooled up to 400A all 100% Duty Cycle some are compatible with Miller/Lincoln/Fronius machines or their own CobraMig 300. I don't know anyone personally with one of these setups so I haven't tried them. I have seen their Portable Orbital Welding setup working (Sweet Setup for Piping👌🏻)though which made me to look into more of their equipment. We totally updated a Family friend's Dairy. My Nephew is a Pipefitter so I helped him plan out all of the pipe runs from the Milking Parler, all the Water runs for the automatic washing/sterilization, and the 2-bay Washbay they built for their Trucks/Trailers and AG Equipment. Definitely some nice welds. Are there any significant drawbacks with newer Push-Pull Guns?

I bought that machine I’ve only tried mig so far it welds pretty good but I really hate how the gas takes so long to shut off after I let off the trigger it really messes with me if I’m doing a lot of racking .

I really like the PrimeWeld idea for setting up a shop in my garage. I have a question for you about setting up the PrimeWeld Plasma Cutter, what air compressor set up would you recommend for setting up specifically for the PrimeWeld Plasma Cutter.

Have their mig 285 I've been using in the shop for over a year. Just ordered the 180 for mobile work...... yeah right I just like toys 😂
