So, it is my understanding that a bow drill fire kit is a kit improvised in the field with available resources with the exception of a fixed blade knife and some on-hand cordage. This method you demonstrated requires to already have a fire/heat source available, so then the question becomes why use a bow drill if you have a lighter or matches, other than training purposes.
Thanks for the question bro! This course is about making a bow drill kit from the comfort of your home with on hand resources for training purposes, as the number one killer for bow drill fire making is poor mechanics... which is why we are using things like PVC pipe which most people don't carry into the woods with them on a regular basis. Bow drill fire making does not come naturally so learning how to make one in a controlled environment prior to having to make one in a survival situation is essential. I have other videos on making a bow drill fire kit in the wild out of natural materials, which you might be interested in: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xzNZ398IeZA.html, ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rcg9bCiAeMw.html Thanks again for the question! Awesome work! We would love to collaborate on some ham radio information for your viewers. It is THE BEST comms option for a survival situation, a good handheld radio is an essential piece of kit 📻
Hi, please take off the review of the m4x punisher knife, I really want to see this one on your review because you are very well versed in matters of survival and shoot professional reviews of equipment for this, I ask you very much to take it off if it's not difficult
Thanks for the question man! I am working on getting the M4X... but am currently very busy with getting new products out. Hopefully we can get that review out early next year. Have a great day!
why not use the lighter you used to light oil lamp to light your fire? if you've already got a lighter _and_ an oil burner / candle . . . why do you need to make a plastic bow drill? this seems like a lot of unnecessary extra steps
