I'm curious what breed of rice you grow in your area. Also what would you say your yield was in kilograms? One other question, how many harvests would someone doing this full time expect to get in your climate? It's seems very temperate and like there could be an extremely long if not year round growing season.
@lucasriley874
@lucasriley874 5 лет назад
Rice is usually about 4 months from planting to harvest, if the climate is right you can get up to 3 harvests a year but that's quite taxing on the soil.

Glad to find your new video. I'm personally also interested in knowing how you are going to use the left overs. By that I mean rice straws and rice hulls. The straws are, as you surely know, very useful resources for daily life. You can make, for example. ropes, mat, rain wear, acessary out of it and also when you burn it the ashes are quite a good fertilizer for your probably vegetable growing next year. You can replace the roof straws with those new ones by combining them much tighter with strings. Then no worry of rain leaking even under a storm. The stored rice will not get dripping wet. The rece hulls, too. There are so many things/topics nobody is tackling with so far. BTW this was our primitive life during Jomon era in my country. I find lots of similarities! : ) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kAOLxAxo-Q4.html Keep doing good jobs with original planning. The last but not the least, now that you got rice, you can maybe surely make rice wine, sake!

I simply hope that he does not waste the rice straw which is an important material for rice-growing countries like his and my countries. I assume he knows how to make a straw sandal to protect his feets, for example. I just feel a sort of friendship between two Asian countries, while viewing his videos.

@abadatha
@abadatha 5 лет назад
@@GOMBE3 Both work fairly well, although my local area is mostly farm land, so that's what I know best. There's a lot of deer, turkey and rabbit around to hunt, and there's plenty of fish.
