It’s crazy that this is technically the most one sided turf war in the series so far. Velkhana deals a total of Zero Damage in this turf war and Primordial Malzeno gets to beat the ever living hell out of velk. Beautiful.
@@ruiribeiro8010 if you look closely the tail stab from Velk actually narrowly misses, it lands just above Malzeno’s back. Which probably would’ve landed if Malzeno wasn’t 4 parallel universes ahead. Oh and it should be noted, that even when damage numbers are displayed, Velk actually does deal no damage in the turf war.
@@thelostician that tail stab does produce sparks tho, wich implies it did hit, like the other attacks in the turf war. But since this Malzeno has heavier armor it probably just shrugged it off.
And here I was thinking he was going to have the same turf war 😂😂😂 That combo was FILTHY!! Apparently he does have the same turf war with Magnamalo but hot damn
Velkhana reads the wing stab and countered with a breath attack, Malzeno goes in for the guard dash and tries to combo, gets countered, Velkhana swerves around for a second breath attack, Malzeno dodges and goes for another guard dash resulting in a string of combos ending in an aerial finisher. The guard dash go crazy with this one
He actually fights like a knight with a shield and i think this is amazing, i really hope we get the see Primordial Mal vs Ruiner Nergi in the next monster hunter game
That's actually what I'm hoping for now. Like an injured Prim Malz comes to seek help from hunters and it turns out it's ruiner nerg that you need to hunt to help malz.
@@magnustheredxv Ruiner Nergi and Primordial Mal pretty much scale to each other, if we take into consideration that Primordial Mal deadass rushed a probably prime full power Gaismagorm that could destroy a whole kingdom it makes Primodial Mal pretty fucking strong and base Nergi was EXTREMELY confident he could kill fucking Zorah later possibly this same Nergi waits for Shara to get out of his armor and 1 shots him and later nothing wants to show up in the guiding lands becouse fucking Ruiner Nergi is there and some powerfull ass monsters show up later
Reminder that Velkhana is able to freeze water vapor in a couple seconds. More than enough to freeze anything to death in a similar amount of time. And Malzeno just TRUCKS through it like its nothing.
For Sunbreak's last unique animation, not bad. Prefer Velkhana's bout with the afflicted form, but still a good showcase of defensive integration into offense, and amusing how this form did better with simple physicality.
@@pamafa3147 I see, so that's why many people who have done the 1st Primordial Malzeno quest can already acces its Hazard version immediately. Because they're already on MR 200 or above. Tbh, I never realized that the Hazard quest for Primordial Malzeno would have MR point requirement.
That combo was just plain ugly! And I like it! That was Primordial Malzeno's way of saying, Submit! I love the way it uses its wings as a Shield and Sword, then using the tail spear, this is truly an Elder Paladdin Dragon.
Primordial Malzeno has gotta be the craziest fight in the game by far. I’m kinda sad you actually kill it after the first fight because of the cutscene.
@@emblemblade9245this! I have to log in and catch up on mhr. Is it unlocked automatically or do i need mr100? I've been running switch axe but thought about trying insect glaive. Been using part of malzeno armor since i got it though for that heal off broken parts :>
@@daefaron Primordial Malzeno initial quest hunt can be unlocked at MR 10, just like Amatsu. Apparently you would have to reach MR 200 for its Hazard quest.
Ruiner is grabbing and throwing velkhana around while velk is defending also the fight is shortest know why ? Velk wasnt shown losing simply cause it was poster boi of iceborne
Velkhana: I’ve fought the likes of you before! It may not be certain, but it’s possible for me to beat you! Primordial Malzeno: If you think it’s possible, then you have never fought the likes of me.
Even though it's reused, I'd like to see Scorned and Primordial duking it out. Two of the Rise flagships at their peak power. Bonus cinematic points if they're both in their super enraged state under the blood moon at the Citadel lol
One of the latest event quests "Dual Threat: Banquet of Beauty" has a very high chance of triggering this turf war. Why? Because the two main targets are Velkhana and Primordial Malzeno! Plus, they're both guaranteed Small Crowns.
Man do I love the paladin fighting style that primordial malzeno has, but the way Velkhana deflected that first wing strike with her tail was clean as hell
Nerg has shown to be stronger than the average elder dragon, and can take on elders two times it’s size. But eh, Malzeno may hold an edge with the quiro.
@TheOrangeRabbit the only opponent nerg killed that was larger than him was a shara that just had the snots beat out of it, and it was ruiner nergigante, and it was a suprise attack...
@@Zephyr-lp2mi Yeah Im aware, but Nergi also had the snot beaten out of it. Not saying Nergs would completely overpower Prime Zeno, but he does have a shot at winning. Unlike Velkhana, Nergi has insane durability against stabbing and slashing weapons and the ability to regenerate, giving Prime Zeno a harder time cutting through his defenses. Ruiner Nergi is also experienced in Elder hunting so honestly the fight could go both ways, just depends who lands the fatal blow first. And yes if the quiro was present the odds would be in Prime’s favor, but that all depends on Ruiner Nergi being able to finish the fight quick enough before the Quiro become a real problem.
Prime Malzeno utterly stomps Velk in this fight and it's beautiful to watch. I'm personally wondering where this puts it compared to the risen monsters, and whether its own Risen state can compete with a monster like Amatsu or not.
@@pamafa3147 Yeah, the initial quest where you hunt Primordial Malzeno with story cutscene in it straight up have way higher reward than that of Amatsu. Even though both are technically MR 10 monsters. I wonder why the reward for defeating the 1st Primordial Malzeno is that high compared to the Looming Calamity.
@@meremsolomon4744 well I mean Primordial Malzeno literally kicked Gaismagorm's ass to the hell hole he is in where you fight him, so it kinda makes sense that he can whip Amatsu too, but this of course are speculations.
@@Amatsu_storm_approach I never heard about such confirmation, but as I said above, those were only speculations, although I believe Primordial Malzeno is stronger than Amatsu, that's doesn't mean it is
I really wish this variation of Malzeno had a flat win over Scorned Magnamalo due to Magnamalo never technically losing any turf wars with all of them at t h very least ending in ties for Magnamalo, but I will never complain about the tie that comes from Malzeno and Magnamalo meeting.
This fight reminds me of Nergigante vs Velkhana in many ways. The fact Primordial Malzeno uses no elements just pure brute force to completely destroy Velkhana. Just like how Nergigante just chokeslams Velkhana down to the floor in Iceborne.
