If there's one thing (among many) that Monster Hunter does right it's the little details in their monsters. In Malzeno's normal state they behave like most other draconic elder dragons, walking around calmly but alert. But when infested, the Malzeno looks much more stressed and agitated, even displaying 'warning' colors in the wings all in a bid to get others around them; especially the freaking Qurio you blasted parasites; to leave them the hell alone.
i've read somewhere that mh devs study animals to implement their nuance characteristics to their monster design and I love that. Shows how they care about their game design.
I do like how everyone says Primordial Malzeno is actually a peaceful creature normally - the only reason it attacks you on sight is because it's agitated from the Qurio constantly trying to latch on to it. You don't get a reputation for being a "guardian of the Citadel" or a "knight of peace" if it just leaves people alone. I can imagine an old timer from Elgado telling a story of how they got lost in the woods as a child, and were almost eaten by a large Citadel-frequenting monster such as Arzuros or Goss Harag. But before they could be killed, a Primordial Malzeno swooped in, beats the crap out of the attacker - but lets them flee - and then guided the storyteller out of the woods before departing. Imagine them, years later, seeing that same Malzeno lead the attack on the night the Citadel fell...
I didn't even know Primordial Malzeno walked in phase 2, considering he runs your pockets for a solid 70 seconds straight before you finally get an opening
@@redgyrados643 that's for regular Malzeno. Primordial takes inspiration more from a knight rather than a vampire. Hence why I used Lancelot. Also Fate/Zero Lancelot was an actual knight but is called in as a Berserker servant.
@@GenesicShinZyraelKai Vlad the impaler was a devout Christian Crusader when he lived. Heck, his Fate lore background mentioned that Vlad is viewed as a vile villain outside of Romania but in his homeland, he was a true hero.
Okay so I know that primordial malzeno is superior to the other variant but when the quirio infest him why does he seem to wield them with a lot more power then the version who actually has symbiosis ?
On normal malzeno, the qurio have been using the dragon as a host for a much longer time than with primordial malzeno. As a result, primordial malzeno has a lot more energy the qurio can take advantage of since it's a brand new host. This is also why primordial is a lot more armored and bulky, since the qurio haven't been draining its nutrients for so long.
I think it's because he is tring to resist the qurio SO he probably is tryng to destroy them by using all the power but how the qurio want him they Overcharge primordial malzeno and i think in the videogame they Say that their simbiosis is better than a normal malzeno (sorry for the mistakes i'm spanish)( T_T)
He's trying to resist so much and just like other elder dragons they resist it which got them risen form And malzeno here in primordial that he was resisting so much and turn him to dark Version of risen form
Short answer is Malzeno’s dependence has led to atrophy and over-reliance on the Qurio while Malprimo is ripped and the Qurio have a new, healthier host
