PRINCE BEST INTERVIEW AND PERFORMANCE
I fortunately first saw and met Prince in person at the 1994 American Music Awards Rehearsal while performing with Black Men United..Got to watch him rehearse for the awards and meet him and was blown away by his presence...Most people don't know my group The Rude Boys @therealrudeboys was named after a button on Prince jacket saying Rude Boy on his "Controversy" album released in the late 80's Prince has defiantly been an influence in my career... The World will never be the same without Roger (Prince) Nelson though his Energy remains and he has tattooed his likeness on and within this Universe🌐
RIP PRINCE

I don't think he was human. Literately he was, but there's something so powerful and so above about him, no words can ever describe. Beautiful man, and now an angel. He's probably in an entirely new world, and giving them the same gift that we've been given by his existence here on earth. I love you Prince! Thank you for sharing.

Only once unfortunately. But the first of the last of his good series of shows. I've got a ranking of good concerts and then there's that concert lonely at the Mount Everest of experiences. He was on fire.

I absolutely love how Prince matured as a man and as an artist. The arc of his career went as it should have. He was wild, free and pushed limits and boundaries when he was young as you should but as he matured he was wiser about his impact on the world and became more reserved but never boring or predictable.

Not only is Prince my favorite singer/musician ever, but we also share something else in common. We both had terrible childhood experiences. He was epileptic also and got made fun of all through school...at least he understood what I went through. Miss him so much, every time I hear him sing 'Sometimes it Snows in April' I break down in tears. 😭

***** Yes it sure is same interview. Take some comfort in knowing this Genius our Prince did suffer and I am sure hoping that angel did appear to him at age of 5. I am sick to death of people on here spreading untruths b/c TMZ reported it. I hope he is with His Lord. He gave so much love to so many. Peace and Blessings to you.

I am absolute MJ fan but daaamn Prince!! Musician SuperGenius!! Those two were so different yet there was a lot of similarity when you dig deeper about both of them. I admire and respect both, each in a different way.💙 💜 There will never ever exist someone like these two, they were truly God's gift to the world and mankind.

MJ and Prince are 2 separate artists that are completely different. MJ is the classical performance artist of perfection. Prince IS music period. They are both Legend's in their own way and Spirituality is what guided them both. To think of what Prince still had left to create and unfortunately MJ was already torn apart by insecurity in self. Prince did not have an ounce of insecurity, he knew he was Legendary and MJ seemed to constantly battle with himself for a sense of self. Insecurity is worse than a loaded gun to the head.

I feel bad for you. Prince as more talent in his teeth alone compared to mjs entire being. PRN revolutionized the music industry as we knew it. Mj didnt do shit. Mj didn't even play an i instrument, while PRN play every instrument known to mankind. Mj is of Mas poco talent. You couldn't pay me enough to endure an mj talentless concert but I have literally sold everything in my room to go to the dirty mind concert. That happened...FACTUAL

@@KrissyI1973 Prince could play 28 instruments when he was a teenager. He often played all the instruments for his albums in his studio at Paisley Park in Minnesota. My take on Prince is that he's just like the average person, because he lived a life of struggles and shortcomings. The one thing he seem to have is a sense of humor and I believe he really cared for people more than we could ever know. What artist you know would have private concerts at their home and invite fans with a small fee to enjoy themselves. He was extraordinary with his talent. RIH and jam on.

As Prince would say, "uh-uh!!" Shawanda Swazer says below that that she believes that Prince is just like the "average person." If by that she means he's human, I agree. But that's all he had in common with the majority There are those among us that are like comets - Hendrix, MJ, Elvis, etc., and Prince was a comet. They hit at an amazing speed, have a huge, brilliant tail and leave a remarkable impression on us all. They have an "other" factor. They teach us and we learn. So, "what we learn?"

You cant help but notice that in his interviews he was always consistent in the answers to what was asked of him. Anymore celebrities constantly contradict themselves from one interview/article to the next. Prince was one of the rare people that visibly put a lot of thought & effort into whatever he had to say (or do) & didn't just wait for them to stop talking so he could say something else. You listened to his words & what he was trying to convey. He didn't just talk to hear himself talk or preach, he took each & every opportunity to inform the rest of us what he already was acutely aware of. Prince is the definition of "artist". And used many mediums to create & express himself. Currently we have artists that can sing & dance very well. Prince on the other hand could sing & dance exceptionally well. But additionally he wrote many hit songs for several other artists, acted, produced, directed, played 9 musical instruments effortlessly, etc (this is what I'm aware of, there is most likely even more). Prince was the definition of the word, "artist". When watching several interviews it also occurred to me that the things he had to say 20 & 30 years ago are relevant to what's going on currently. Long before the implementation of the internet Prince crusaded against his record label in regards to the rotalties his songs produced. Remember this is way before things like itunes & You Tube that artists today are hindered by for the same reasons. To simply say he was before his time in knowledge is a severe understatement. With his passing I hope that a whole new generation will be inspired by his many creative works & the efforts he made in creation them. And although there will NEVER be another "Prince", there's a possibility that his legacy will give birth to future artists that are not satisfied with being simply rich & famous for doing nothing but instead push themselves harder to have the power of expressing themselves in several mediums not only one ( think Autotune!! LOL!). Thank You, Prince for all the gifts you gave us during your short time here. Rest in the peace you've earned & deserve. In turn, we will do our best at celebrating your life & limitless talents & not only mourn your physical absence.

He was the greatest musician/artist in the world. Tributes to him have come from all genres since he died - punk, heavy metal, jazz, classic rock, pop, theatre, even choirs. He influenced all musicians everywhere in the world. But more importantly for me, on top of all that, HE WAS A GOOD HUMAN BEING.. He should be remembered for that just as much as his music. He was polite, a gentleman, well-spoken, and did many anonymous good deeds for countless people out of love. He proved to the world that being a nice person was "cool". The world is running out of good people and he was a tough one to lose. It's different world since he's been gone. Something is missing....... Do good things.

Such a natural talent. This man was a great singer. When a person can do this on stage. With just a guitar. That brings out all the original talent. Because that is all you hear. Love you! Prince. Now and forever.

Thank you for your posts. I really feel people didn't see or know him enough still so young. He did absolutely everything. Even the greats knew he was great. In many ways I'm sure he was like others. He didn't try to be something he wasn't. He stayed near his roots. He was self made though. He did it all, and he did it well. Any musician can't help but respect his talents. I also had great respect for his philosophies and things you catch in songs or interviews. He had a good sense of humor. I wish we traveled the same paths. I believe God put everything on the earth we need. I'm a disabled nurse and chronic pain sufferer also. . It's not something everyone can understand. I go to specialists in pain management. . It is heartbreaking to feel like if only, coulda, woulda, shoulda. Doctors who haven't experienced it or haven't had a reason to go into the area shouldn't. He could have been made comfortable enough and somebody local could have easily helped him. It doesn't work for many when a pain cycle hits. If he had somebody understanding and the right things ...I hate it. To be alone. They give us injectors in case we feel we had one to many for our body Time of day, food, any number of things. If you think you went too far you have a chance. I can't get passed it. This was too much, too to huge and, too close to home. Knowing he just isn't here anymore to continue is sad. We take people for granted.

Prince reminds me of John Lennon after the Beatles broke up and an interviewer said to him "I really missed your music with the Beatles" John said we'll I'm sorry to disappoint you darling but we've grown up since then.
