im sorry but i need to say it, hurrem was such a beter mom then Kosem, she fought for any of his kids. She protected them like a lioness, such a Sultana.
Kosem did SO many struggles for her children, for the empire. She had to protect them from powerful Sultanas like Safiye Sultan, Halime Sultan. On the other hand, Hurrem did not really have anyone powerful except Ibrahim, and Ibhrahim always attacked Hurrem not her children. Kosem took sword in her hand to fight her enemies & protect her children. She changed the ancient traditional rule of killing brothers in order to protect her children which was such a revolution. And so many other things like this. Hurrem protected her children too, Kosem did it too. But in comparison, I think it's pretty obvious than Kosem did much bigger things. (And let's not talk about the reign as Valide Sultan as we didn't get to see Hurrem as Valide Sultan for comparison)

Well in the series he died after all that depression of Mustafa's death. I'm not sure it was the reason in reality but I'm sure he was really close to Mustafa
@@broke_person9664 Actually, IRL Cihangir was not close to Mustafa, that was just more fiction for the show. Cihangir was a toddler when Mustafa left home. Cihanger was close to his father, his mother, and his siblings. He died as a result of his many ailments that he suffered from his entire life. Who knows what medicines he was given through the years that may or may not have led to his death.
The craziest thing I see is people somehow blaming Hurrem for the illnesses that plagued Cihangir throughout his whole life, as if a child can somehow absorb the karma of a parent through osmosis. It's not as if things like this were incredibly common for the time because of lack of known treatments. No, of course not...
The sad thing is people still do. My baby was born with complete cleft lip and palate. There were people accused me for that. They were like you were not careful in your pregnancy.

I genuinely believe even in the real occurence, had Shehzade Mehmet servived, he would have been crown prince. Yes, mustafa was a strong competitor. But considering Hurrem had him executed in the series, and he died similarly irl, it's possible had Mehmet survived, he would have been crowned King. Of course though, nobody knows what would have happened or if Selim /Beyazid threatened Mehmet if he were alive. Perhaps he got off quite easy due to his untimely death. But the portrayal of Mehmet has been amazing in the series. I wish history had seen a ruler like him
It's funny yes But in the series, she was infatuated with him Ever since she was a child, she liked him. She even said she would marry him couple times but obv she was a child so everyone chalked it off to that. When she grew up in the series, she resorted to somehow attract him toward herself but he never did. She never understood that he just saw her as a child. On the other hand I severely wished that every man would be like Bali bey in this matter and not Rustem pasha😭

Don't mind idiot hurrem bots. Both women did what they had to.Hurrem was fantastic mother and so was kosem . The fact that kosem raised osman and let him ascend throne despite the fact that he was the strongest haseki and it would be very easier for her to make her son sultan. It was her kids who betrayed her all the time and were dumbos. All of her sons who ascended throne were immature and lacked the integrity of good ruler.
Poor Cihangir his hunchback is really tragic😔. In fact, his entire existence is one huge pain and misery god apparently bestowed upon Hurrem to punish her for her pursuit in killing Mustafa. SPOILER ALERT: that’s why he eventually fell ill from his relentless grief of Mustafa’s execution and died in season 4😭
