I totally agree with you! Listening to his interviews puts me in a relaxed state as well. I find it interesting that often the interviewers are very agitated, speak very quickly, but Prince remains tranquil, keeps speaking slowly and in his own way, he doesn't get pulled into the agitated state of the interviewers. I haven't heard anybody speak so softly and calmly and self-confidently like him (without even appearing arrogant).
Diane Strand yes he was very handsome specially when his hair was short and tapered back.He could have been a model really he wore his clothes so well and could wear anything and it looked good on him they were made to fit him but still.Beautiful smile, the way music is today he was one of the artist that could smile he didn't have to look hard core . Prince was always so far ahead of his time. I have the utmost respect for him. He used his talents and gifts to the highest of his capabilities. So diverse in his music and lyrics and that is difficult for many song artists. Many will never reach his accomplishments. Even more, his maturity was far beyond his age. I believe he truly was one of the few that lived by his words. Genuine and loved by all. Miss his presence in this world!

Prince makes a good point. Men, especially male musicians tend to let their egos get in their way, so playing with Prince that might be a problem. Women musicians (not diva singers ones who play in bands) aren't as ruled by ego.
His explicit lyrics never bothered me. I swear a lot because I am passionate person and sometimes it is necessary to do so. Some of his songs called for it. He makes songs for adults.
When he made all the explicit music he was very young and youngsters make poor decisions and when you know better you do better and that comes with age if it’s not taught to you by a parent or older adult in your life.he learned from his mistakes why musicology is very clean music.

You noticed that everything he did back in the day was considered rare, and now it's all considered mainstream? Back then, it was even rare to see cursing and bad language on tv and now we see it every single day, and the same with nudity. Sexuality was always something that was kept secret and in the closet whether you're gay or straight, now it's flaunted everywhere all the time.
I know. I even think Prince and his music were a lot more tame than what we see nowadays...like you can't compare the sexual artist's nowadays to Prince...he sexual persona was more so through art. He wasn't afraid to tackle sex at any point in his career other artists nowadays are though.

Not only that he was The Greatest Musician Genius of all time but he was insanely wise and deep. Whenever he talks he oozes with such intelligence and depth with the smooth calmness, with such an elegance and style, there is no pretentious, only pure charm and authenticity. One more thing notice about him: he never ever interrupts interviewer (in any interview you won't see him interrupting, always respectful and serene). His posture, his confidence, his presence is very powerful. He doesn't have to say a word, he just sits there and listens yet you feel enormous respect for this guy. You feel such a strong personality! Prince was absolutely unique and complex. Unbeatable and irreplaceable. He wasn't only musician but rather the music itself. There is no doubt that he was God's gift to the world and to mankind.
All I can say is this is exactly why I'm still so heartbroken that the brother is no longer here with us. Besides all the incredible music he will be remembered for is all the words that this man wrote in poetic musical format..... if you just read the words without the music it's absolutely amazing and astonishing the quantity and quality of all those words that told stories, it's an amazing body of work the best writers and authors could only hope of achieving in one lifetime simply amazing!!!! Prince may have come off as eccentric, but he was very intelligent and speaks truth. I readily admit I didn't like some of the explicit language and lyrics he did in his younger years. As he matured and embraced the hard truths of life, I learned to respect him as a person. He's absolute right, some of today's lyrics and performers cross lines he never dreamed of. Why? Sex sells. That's the cold hard facts. As a christian I cannot listen to or support many of today's entertainers. But that's my God given right. However, I don't blasphemously speak of them. I don't choose friends by color, religious affiliation, or creed. I don't support same sex, but I don't judge LGBT people. Unless they try to push their morals on me, then I'd have to speak up for MYSELF only. I have bisexual friends, they respect my morals and we get along just fine. I've never chosen friends based on race. That in itself would be a sin because the same Creator breathed life into everyone! And I totally respect Prince for taking the stand he did against bigotry! Prince, like Michael Jackson, opened doors for other minorities. This I/was/remains phenomenal.

I won TIXS to the Musicology Tour on 08/09/2004 and I was like a big kid in the nosebleeds throughout the whole show. I jumped, I screamed and shouted, and even sung to this light skinned girl behind me when he did adore and call my name. Man, what a FABULOUS AWESOME show.
I remember when I first met him,he was so so beautiful and he had this glow to him. He,I don't know how to explain it,looked so young and healthy. I liked him a little bit,but at the time I really had a major crush on my teacher. I'm in a lost of words right now. I mean,I can't explain how I felt when Prince held my hand. I was shy as a teen,but I became more open to him after he held my hand. The funny thing is,I didn't realize how much I loved him until a few years later when I was seventeen. He came and spent a night at my house and the feelings I had for him were so real that night......omg,I started crying when he held me in his arms. I told him how I felt about him,but he didn't listen. He told me that I had to be kidding. I said I wasn't kidding and that I was for real. He just laughed and that pissed me off. I just..........couldn't deal with that. So.....I just kind of ran away.
Even the best people I've met (which aren't that many) don't hold a candle to him. Prince was a truly unique human being and it's no wonder I've been fascinated with him since I first heard one of his songs. It would be amazing to even find someone remotely close to being like Prince.

Musicology is a great album. Some beautiful lyrics, tender melodies, very funky and high energy too. Really liked it. I was into him from "1999" onwards but lost interest in his music when he became The Symbol and only learnt about Musicology last year from a RU-vid video where he is performing a song from it on Leno. Recommended.

Michelle, Prince could be a little sarcastic at times, however, there is some truth in what he said that females listen better than males. I’m sure he has had his run-ins with stubborn male musicians in his bands, in the past and not hearing or listening to what he needed. It is also fact that males don’t listen most of the time and female are better listeners...imo..😁
