1000% true. I read my son shakespeare and poe and byron and whitman all my favorites as an infant, a tiny baby on up. He spoke full sentences at 1 and read at 3. It most assuredly works and especially if you also go outside everyday and point at everything and tell them what it is. Honestly it's the simplest thing and works wonders.
