I did the same as William, shielding my sisters bc I was older. My mom had me at 13yrs old and I was a parentified child. I was the confidant and the solver. To protect my younger sisters I worked to help mom out, paid bills, provided needs and food, and kept them blind to the poverty and trauma by making sure they didn't experience it. As adults they resent me, saying I thought I was better, treated mom badly etc. Most of the time they never knew what I went through, still don't, so they will never appreciate or love me the way I appreciate and love them. It's hard but as the oldest sibling, in a situation like this, you expect there to be sacrifice on your part with no reciprocity from anyone.

I can underatand what you're saying, but then again, if this is the way that people see him, talk about him, and perceive him, then why wouldn't he continue to act this way. William and Harry both went through a huge trauma and reacted to it in different ways. What could be seen as protection and taking care of Harry, to him, could've been looked at as control and restriction. People not showing him any compassion or understanding and always judging would make the average person act out because it'll feel like no one really cares, hence the abandonment issues. I'm just saying, because William was looked at as the protector, it seems like no one is really seeing Harry's point of view or really understanding him. Yes he needs to be accountable for his actions and behavior, but Harry wasn't born a brat.
