Harry did the exact opposite of Pat Tillman. He left a life of service to seek fame and money. Pat Tillman left fame and money to seek life of service. It is awful that they give Harry this award.

Yes we all know Harry served in the military but it wasn’t really serving as other people experience it now was it? First tour was 10 weeks and the 2nd was 20 weeks when the average tour is 6 months Then there’s the fact he was guarded by the SAS, and according to those who were there he had his own tent and bunker, mainly played Xbox and was ushered out for drug testing.

The petition is completely justified. It is an American Award to commemorate an American soldier and should be given to an American. Giving the Award to an ex-Royal who believes free speech is ludicrous is exactly that, ludicrous. The vast majority of the US don't care about him or want him gone. Michael is being extremely generous in his assessment of H’s military service and contribution to the Invictus games. Letting himself be sidelined and embarrassed by Markle has reduced him to a person of low repute and ridicule . There’s not a lot he can do to salvage his image and accepting numerous undeserved ‘awards’ is not helping. He’s turned into a wolf in sheep’s clothing and lost the respect and admiration of many - no award can change that. He has endangered the reputation of his family and the lives of military men who served in Afghanistan. Any chance of consolidating or establishing diplomatic relations with other countries - especially in the Commonwealth - has been eroded despite his audacious claim that he and his wife are embarking on a world tour - the assumption being that they are representing the UK and possibly the US as diplomats of the highest order. Their arrogance and ignorance are astounding! The protests should be a wake up call for him. It’s time for some humility and humanity.

It is not about his former service, it is all about what he has been doing in the last years. Invitus was a good thing, but he and his wife has made it all about themselves. They are not giving of themselves selflessly, they are expecting to be paid for giving. It doesn't matter where you are from, but that is unforgivable.
