Absolutely beautiful. It reminds me of my wedding. I was fortunate enough to have a concert pipe organist but this guy/ trumpeter is amazing. BRAVO to both of you. Thank you for sharing your gift with the world. 🎵💕
Outstanding performance. Thank God for the few churches left with acoustics. That exact same music would be flat in most dead churches today. People will waste a million dollars on a pipe organ and have dead acoustics.
As an organist, I have often been asked to play this piece with a trumpeter rather than using a trumpet stop in the organ. And I’ve always dreaded it because the trumpeter in question was usually a friend or relative of the bride or groom and I never knew what I’d get. (It was always bad.) But I would seriously LOVE playing with this young man! Excellent skill and control throughout and the flourishes were simply gorgeous! Great job young man!
My wife and I wanted this as the processional for our wedding. To get around the issue of the trumpeter and organist not knowing each other, we chose one of my aunts to play organ and her oldest son to play trumpet. Both are good musicians on their own, but they’ve been playing together in their church on a fairly regular basis for about 10 years and it worked out really well for everybody.
Vielen Dank.
