Thank you for the details. Actually, I already knew it all. In this video, it's not about collecting all the life potions, but collecting 12 bottles to make the full 15 bottles. And I think there should be an official TAS video with a full bottle like this.
When the prince jumps, the enemies spawn one block above where they should spawn since they spawn according to the prince and that 1 block height difference makes em die. Pretty genius glitch ngl
It's a secret room with a potion of life, it's very hidden, believe me, the first time I was played this game, accidentally dropped myself to the spikes very close to the wall when I holding X and I discovered this room.
Not trying to be Mr. Smartiepants, but since this is a "speedrun": You do not need the sword in Level 1 - you can just jump against the guard and he will let you through - see many other videos on youtube. And in general that's quite the common mechanic in this game - I am a bit surprised considering your otherwise impeccable skill, that you did not know/execute that. GG anyhow
I've been trying to get that jump consistently. There are times where I can land it perfectly ten times in a row but when I attempt to do it in a full run; I somehow always mess it up.

In Level 3, 13, 16 and 19 you missed in total 4, but I noticed you reached energy max cap, so are there more potions than needed to reach maximum life? 😅 I think there are 18 potions of life in total.
What made this game feel difficult in the past was that the slightest misstep can cause you to instantly fall and die. and must start playing again from the beginning
