totally. Its one of my favourite movies. And I even played the games. But I think most nerds that played Prince of Persia games were upset with the movie. So sad. I hope Disney decides to make a sequel (part 2) next years.
Its a very atmospheric movie. Loved the music , the cast .simply just so entertaining .Loved it. I remember when it came out most of these self proclaimed "purists" were unhappy with the main cast that was not 'persian' enough , was not this and that enough . i tell Them go fucking make your own movie with your piggy bank in your backyard ! !
I love the movie so much. Its actors drew me in with every scene. Love the costumes, the colors, and where it took place. The scenes of adventure, the sounds. Everything about it was just so good. Beautifully done. TEN OUT OF TEN!
"Long ago in a land far away, there once rose an empire that stretched from the steppes of China to the shores of the Mediterranean. That empire was Persia. Fierce in battle, wise in victory. Where the Persian sword went, order followed." " ...A son with no royal blood and no eye on his throne. But perhaps there was something else at work that day, something beyond simple understanding. The day a boy from the unlikeliest of places became a PRINCE OF PERSIA."
Stephen Faust uh no they didn't lol, Alexander did, but he didn't even conquer all of Persia either. Persian Empire fucked Spartans and burned Athens to the ground
Greco-Persian Wars started in 499 BC and lasted until 449 BC. The Treaty of Peace of Callias was established around 449 BC between the Delian League (led by Athens) and Persia, ending the Greco-Persian Wars. It was negotiated by Callias, an Athenian politician. The peace was agreed as the first compromise treaty between the Persians and the Greeks. In 334 BC, Alexander the great invaded the Achaemenid Empire (Persian Empire) The story of “The Prince of Persia” is in the time of the assassins (Asasiyun, people of principle). The assassins existed from 1090 AD to 1275 AD
С ума сойти. Прошло уже 13 лет когда я сходил на это кино. В 2010 году мне было 13 лет и был самый первый фильм который я увидел в кинотеатре..💜🌟 Вау..
this main theme is fantastic - epic, romantic, memorable stuff love how the composer starts into the main theme a second time quietly with the english horn just at 3 minutes 40 seconds and builds for another 20 seconds until the strings and horns finally let loose and fly high on the wings of that gorgeous melody
I agree, 2:30 - 3:00 is really great. But how come no-one else is having an eargasm at the very beginning of the tune. It's so awesome, suits the theme very well. By the very beginning I mean 0:00 - 1:08 (and also 1:08 - 1:35), although that last bit is a little less in my opinion. Anyhow, this soundtrack is allround awesome, although I do think that every little bit (as it seems that it is a compilation of different soundtracks) is too short. I'd love to hear an extension of these bits.
As a huge fan of the game series, I was pleasantly surprised to find the movie a pretty good interpretation of it. I wasn't too fond of Jake being cast as the Prince, given his obvious skin color, but he won me over with his acting and charm. In fact, given that the original series doesn't have too cohesive of a plot, I thought Disney did pretty good.
????? Persians were Caucasian, they are descendant from the tribe of Noah, after the flood came down the mountains, and the people split, some headed West and then defeated the Cannanites there, and established the 12 tribes of Israel, and the others kept heading south and settled in Mesopotamia and became known as the Assyrians, later Babylonians, later a name change to Persians...considering they're from the same group of people, same ancestors, then it should not come as a surprise that the description of the Isrealites is the same as the Persians, fair skin and fair eyes, blonde, brunette, black, redhair, blue, green, amber, and brown colors....these people in Israel will later have an exodus into Europe and and across North Africa, by sea first and then land after being invaded by their very own but separated by centuries and culture, the Babylonians, while the Babylonians, later Persians also spread across the present day Middle East........don't let the look of people in the Middle East today fool you, that's the result of the Arabs/Islam doing the same thing and gnipar everyone and chopping 0-< off. they tainted the gene pool. The movie 300 is based on a comic book and doesn't have an accurate depiction of Persians nor that of Alexander the Great.
@Edmon I'm Persian n nothing you said made sense. Yes we are considered Caucasians n we are fair skinned but Jake Gyllenhaal don't have Persians features. We're our own race n we didn't "later spread" to the Middle East. We were always in the Middle East as we're an indigenous group. We're only native to Persia n we only had the Persian identity. We never changed names. Persian is a race n something our ancestors said since ancient times. We conquered y'all but we don't have the same culture, origins, nor anything brother
@Edmon And with the gene pool thing. I can't speak for others but our genetic pool isn't mixed. We're purely mostly Persian blood. You can search up genetic study of my ppl n you can see how they say it's been unchanged despite most of the invasions the Middle East dealt with. Yea Middle East been through Arab colonization but no matter what, Persian culture is dominant in the Middle East as Arabs adopted many Indigenous Middle Eastern cultures. Hopefully everyone will know this
Thank you Disney and the original producers of the Prince of Persia video game for restoring some honor and dignity that our country has lost in movies like 300.
Im hacking cousin account anyway my fave part was from 4:00 - 4:25 its so enchanting yet bold. Btw I love Jakes's hair in the movie perfect for a Persian Prince.
This soundtrack seriously makes me want to go back in time to Cairo in the early 1960s or visit the Egyptian dunes/pyramids. the music really brings out a taste of adventure.
@@ms.m6060 Not jealous lol but pity since the game promises Achaemenid era but instead use Arabian night theme, Arabesque and Arabic music in medieval Islamic era. I am myself disappointed since I wanted an ancient theme, not medieval Islamic theme like Assassin's creed 1 which fulfils the desire for that era. Hope you got my point
I fell totally in love with the beginning of this soundtrack which i heard the first time on a series about Father Lazarus, a monk living in a cave in Egypt.. Father Lazarus tells his testimony of how he became from an atheist professor in Australian to a Coptic Christian monk... Awesome story with an awesome soundtrack ...
We got the same taste brother, I just can't get enough of it,keep listening to it,the 4:04 scratches my soul this piece of art.feels like something from heaven.
I LOVED this movie, and especially the score. I'm so glad that it's available on blu-ray. I guess it didn't do well at the box office because people were expecting it to be more like the game. I'm not a gamer, so I just enjoyed the movie for its own value.
But if the sequel was poorly done, or with different actors it would surely spoil the memory of the first?... Perhaps better to be left wishing more, than receiving worse than hoped for?
I love how the same stuff said during the sunrise before the movie even starts means something so different and more complete at the end of the movie when the sun sets and the movie has ended
Yes! You're right! Destiny is not just a concept, but since its tied to the storyline from beginning to end, its a beautiful way to remind us of the mystery and the mystique of life.
Awesome movie. I can see its runtime could've been longer by 20 minutes. Hence the pacing and editing was not that well done in some places. But yeah, movie still holds for what it is. Enjoyed it
I was thinking the exact same thing watching this back. Just needed a little bit more run time and I think it could’ve been so much better and more complete.
Thanks for all the reactions on my question about the melody between 2:30 and 2:55 I found out what it is : last saturday, on our way home from the UK, we were listening to ClassicFm and there was this melody. It's from Braveheart
The 4:04 scratches my soul that it feels I am melting down into the Notes of this song and making a harmony with them and the orchestra is getting bigger and bigger and bigger.
OMG!!! i got so excited when i new the composer was harry gregson-williams ! i kind of knew it was him but i actually scream when i saw his name on the screen! I LOVE HIM! I have all the Narnia songs, and now i'll have the prince of persia entire cd!
