The smiles they share during that solo tells a lot about the respect they had for each other. Tom wasn't the overly showy type, but it worked here wonderfully for Prince. Tom and Jeff Lynne were good friends with George Harrison. They took a somber approach to start the song, but then Prince comes in to honor someone who paved the way for him and celebrates his life. It's a great tribute in that way.

The second singer, with the sunglasses & the mustache, is Jeff Lynne of Electric Light Orchestra (ELO). Him & Tom Petty were bandmates with George Harrison in The Traveling Wilburys. George Harrison wrote the song & the original version is on The Beatles' "White Album" with Eric Clapton playing lead guitar. Steve Winwood is the white guy playing the organ. The very young white guy playing acoustic guitar is George Harrison's son, Dhani.

Man, first of all, your outfit is on POINT 👍 There will never be another Prince. His death hit me so hard. I went into a month long depression, and cried for 2 weeks straight. It just, it broke my heart really. It hurt my soul. Such a horrible, needless loss of a true musical genius. The like of which we will not see again in our lifetimes. He was the Mozart of our generation, and many generations. He mastered 27 instruments and was an absolute virtuoso composer, vocalist, songwriter, musician and performer. What’s even more unbelievable, he never had one music lesson his entire life. HE WAS SELF TAUGHT ON EVERY SINGLE INSTRUMENT. Equally shocking he never had one vocal lesson in his life, he just naturally had a staggeringly wide, angelic vocal range and falsetto from the gods themselves; a voice that could break your heart, make you laugh, make you cry, make you dance, or sex you up, he could do it all with that angelic voice. But could also light a guitar on fire like the devil himself as we saw here. The incredible storytelling in his songwriting, his unique, creative, sometimes risqué sometimes tongue in cheek lyricism, and prolific musical capabilities are simply staggering. He released 39 albums in his lifetime. 39. And there are reportedly at least 50 completed unreleased albums still in his vault. In his earlier years, he was also quite the provocateur, pushing boundaries, taking risks, obliterating the confines of the conventional, breaking rules in every way possible from his performances to his musicianship and vocal style in the blending of genres, right down to his impeccable outfits, hair, makeup and heels. He was prettier than your girlfriend, but he could still take her from you with a wink and smile if he wanted too 😂 he wore his sexuality up from and center, and sometimes cut out in the back too 😈 😂 his unbelievable talent, abilities, and sheer musicality truly put him in a class all by himself. All hail the purple one, gone but NEVER forgotten. Because even though he’s gone, his music lives on. And at the very least, how great is that we were alive at the same time as the Mozart of many, many generations? Alive to witness firsthand, the one and only Prince, a true musical genius, in his actual time. Weren’t we the lucky ones 💜

Yeah, Leo. Shit got *REAL* when Prince soloed. Such proficiency and musicality in that solo, and the little man didn't even break a sweat. He showed up, respected his fellow musicians (and George Harrison's memory) and laid down that effortless solo without tasteless showboating and guitar wankery. He sent his message to the people who doubted him, and it didn't take away from anyone that mattered. Prince was a class act.
