LOL never realised that Goblin Queen was Mrs. Bumble in the 'Oliver!' film (Gosh her exclaim sound at 3:16!), Rik Mayall's legendary legacy lives on in Froglip...
At first I thought it was cute that the goblins had dogs and thought better of them for a moment... Until the gob started punching it and I was kind of like "oh".
No wonder goblins were driven underground by humans. Kurdie was holding his own even before he started crushing their feet. And youd think stone shoes would be standard issue armor for goblin soldiers.
oh my fucking god, I watched this movie when I was a little girl..and for years now i've been trying to remember what it was called!!! this is fucking crazy!!!!! I always remember the scene where that creepy goblin picks his nose and flicks it lmfao ahhh finally my mystery has vanished!!!
this movie has so many hilarious moments. one of the best parts is that when Curdy starts to sing and the goblins roll a stone on him and shut him in a hole
i love Frogglet and his lines. His lines are my most favorite of all charcter's lines. "Let me have him oh please let me have him i could do such nasty things to him" "Marvolus a fight" or how ever you spell marvolus "Outragous, oh outragous" "Sing!!!!? Stop it stop it, not that stop it that noise that noise, it hurts me ears, it's so uhhhhhhh.. musical"
'OHHHHHHH LET ME HAVE HIM! I COULD DO SUCH NASTY THINGS TO HIM!" Wow... erm, okay, is anyone else getting the vibe that Froglip is batting for the other team? I mean, he says he'll have to suffer by marrying Irene and then he wants to do nasty things to poor Curdie? I effing love this movie, lmao.
Gosh.. watching this part scares me and I'm a teenager. Im sure if I was to watch this when I was younger, it would have had scared the crap out of me.
God the goblins are as funny as crap Especially Froglip and the Queen Goblin. And Its hilarious how the goblins make such random noises and grunts in the background!!! LOL!!!!!!
I love this movie even today. I don't understand why people complain about the graphics it's pretty and it isn't a big budget movie like the ones Disney or what Warner made back then. It is dark, magical, adventures and still the book is more dark than the movie. I'd still watch this rather the stupidity that they show nowdays. A little adult humor, if I may: Listen to the goblin king sneazing az 2:10 but don't look at the video.XD
For some reason whenever I look at the goblin queen she looks like Ursula from the little mermaid had an affair with a hippopotamus. Plus she makes Gnorga from A Troll in Central Park look pretty. And in my opinion Froglip is the best looking goblin in the entire movie
this is so funny this was my favorite movie when i was little i was just watching it and i didn't really expect anyone to have a video on it, this is awesome.
What do the goblins despise most (about the differences in the book)? a) in the book: singing; in the film: poetry b) singing in both versions c) poetry in both versions d) in the book: poetry; in the film: singing
Elli: (in pain) AHH!!! Liz: soft in the flesh (kicking her again) Elli: (in pain again) AHH!!! Liz: And soft in the head! (pushing her into the prison) Elli ( in greater pain) AHH!!! But I can still use Milo Everyone: (GASP!!!) MILO!!! Elli: Their's a girl inside me that we must all egnite, and all that's dark inside us will flicker into night Matt: (out of guilt) STOP!!! STOP!!! NO I HATE HER!!! SHE'S THE WORST OF ALL!!! Liz: STOP THAT SINGING! Push that boulder! Push that boulder!
I really want Curdie's song on my ipod, it has a good singer, lyrics, and a great message about how there is good in us (with some exceptions, like Voldemort and the goblins) if we learn to use it.
@mes179 Thanks. I guess Peggy Mount being British explains the difficulty. And I think you mean she WAS English, since she died in 2001. Wasn't that the same Peggy Mount who acted as (either that was the Widow Corney or Mrs. Bumble) in the film Oscar-winning version of "Oliver!"?
No WAY was that a dog... that was a freaking GREMLIN D8> 2:13-2:19 LMFAO how many times does he want to hold that sneeze xD Thith film ith "OUTRAAAAGEOSTH!"
This reminds me of the Underland from The Chronicles of Narnia: The Silver Chair. I think C.S. Lewis was inspired by George MacDonald (author of the book this was based on)
For goblins, shoes aren't actually the fashion; the stone shoes are only for distinction, like the number of toes on each foot; that's why their queen wears them.
