Im sure if Peach and Daisy and Rosalina sang songs sutch as "Spotlight" by Jennifer Hudson. Daisy would sing the main chords. DAISY : (SINGING) # OH YOU ARE THE BIG SHAME OF YOURSELF! WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOUR DOING, LOOVVING ME?! LOVVING ME?! SO WRONG! BABY ALL I DO IS TRY TO SHOW YOU THAT YOUR MINE. ONE AND ONLY GIRL, OPEN YOUR EYES CAUSE BABY I DONT LIKE... OOHOO, OOHOO, BAAABYYY! I DON'T LIKE LIVING UNDER YOUR SPOTLIGHT!
1:04 that lip click was iconic. i remember being scared of her in mario strikers. Her voice lines ........ im not joking that angry tantrum she would do scared me asf.
If I'm not mistaken, they based a bit of her voice by one of the old Toad voices. Basically fir people who dont understand, the voice actor for Toad had left many years back. So a stand in was made, until a full time actor could come in. This stand in voice actor was very loud and high pitched. One clear example is the way the shout "NINTENDO" If you look it up, and listen to the original voice, you'll hear the resemblance
This honestly moves me emotionally; I’m so used to the voice direction for women in videogames being unnecessarily suggestive and objectifying. I can’t express how gratifying it is to hear this voice actor being allowed to just yell and make silly noises.
Isnt everyone being objectified in someway though. I mean sure unwanted attention sucks for sure if thats what you mean. But Daisy in Mario Party Superstar is my favorite!
@@Sparrows1121 -- Nah, I'm talking about when the voice direction for woman characters has all their impacts and yells and whatnot sound sexual rather than just pain or general exertion. Think Tracer from Overwatch (pretty sure that's the right character's name), off the top of my head. How many other examples are there of mid-fight voicelines for woman characters that are just yelling and comedic noises, like Daisy here, as opposed to moans and breathy impacts that sound like they belong somewhere different than a battlefield?
This princess has WAY more personality than even Peach has. I can imagine Bowser having to hear Daisy's super loud voice in his castle and being like, "OkokOKOK!!! I'LL LET YOU OUT! Jeez!" And then after that, Bowser never messes with Daisy ever again. That's why Bowser doesn't capture Daisy in the games. But hey, that's just a theory.
