I've been there ,such a peaceful ,calm and beautiful place ,just like how late Diana was ,could almost feel her being around and just saying "thank you " to everyone there . Diana may be gone but never be forgotten ,always our queen of hearts ❤️🌹
I've been to Althorp and never believed she was out on that little island. I think ii's just a place for people to visit in memory of her. It is a beautiful serene place. I think she's in the family vault.
She's not in vault to go into vault she'd need to have been cremated and she didn't want that she wanted buried therefore vault would have needed ventilation added and that would have been security risk
She is not on that island. She is in the floor of the church with the rest of her relatives. They put up a fence and now there is just so far people can go. A clear indication that they have made some drastic changes. And those changes were done the week she died. But, she deserves to be there in the church, which I think was a really good choice of her brothers. They wanted a place were people could go and see a memorial for her, which is the Island. I hope she is at peace now.

It was her last wish that she may be buried near her dad whom she loved a lot.. But she was cremated and her ashes were put in the floor which is cememted.. After this happened they have installed high end security which is guardes 24 by 7 by security..... No one can go there Inside.... It is high end alarmed.. This was done so that the villagers would not face difficulties and also to guard her resting place.
I don’t believe Diana is all alone on this island , it’s so lonely there 😢 I am sure she’s with her Father in the church as Charles Spencer said he will be buried with his family & what leave Diana on her own ? In my opinion, she should have been buried in the beautiful park next door to Kensington Palace. After all, she was the "People's Princess" not some lone swan in the lake! Her final resting place in the center of the lake is bound to bring in dampness and mold. It is rumored that she has been reinterned in the family church which is fine and proper, if true.
It's a man made lake so water table doesn't affect her grave and that was her favourite part of estate so much so she buried her favourite cat there marmalade
She is buried on the island , so her grave won’t be destroyed by hoards of people, trampling over her ,and worse. She is safe , it’s beautiful and she can rest in eternal peace. This is far better than being a tourist attraction
Sickening thought though it may be, there are vile people around these days who absolutely would stop at nothing to desecrate her grave in search of things to ‘souvenir’ for sale on the dark web. Nothing would surprise me anymore, common decency is disappearing. Wherever her remains are, I hope they are ultra safe, and ultra secure.

I've just seen the video where Nelson Mandela visits the grave and pays respects. He was with earl Spencer, they put up the bridge, they've crossed it by foot. She is there. It does look lonely thought.

Diana did not like loneliness, being alone, she liked life. To hide his grave in the middle of nowhere like this is very selfish on the part of his brother, since he was the one who did not give shelter to Diana when she wanted to flee home after her divorce.

If you want to really find out if she is buried on the island or in the church, then talk to some of the locals at a pub. After a few drinks people will start talking. Especially those who live in the area. I find it hard to believe that a lead lined coffin weighing around several hundred pounds would be put in soft soil only to sink down in time. Ask a groundskeeper. I heard this story from someone who was in the funeral business around there. Who really knows but those who really know.

She isn’t there she is in the church on the estate with all the Spencer’s tombs. That is for tourists to go and look at. They would never bury her there as the coffin would be water logged. There was a new floor stone fitted in the church at the time of her funeral at the end of the church there are metal gates to keep everyone away from the tombs
