Princess Die - Lady Gaga (Lyric Video) Lady Gaga sang this on The Born This Way Ball Tour in Melbourne, Australia (06/27/12) Thanks to : (thebadmonster, giovannaalves739, cris) from Littlemonsters.com for the pictures :) ENJOY!
Ananas Von Satan I was singing this in the car and I start laughing and my mom had a huge convo of saying it’s not funny being suicidal because she is but I told her I was laughing someone saying “me”
It's been mentioned before but I'm going to do it anyway. The lyric is "Applause, pour vous", and the difference is essential. In English alone it says "applause for you". You, the audience. The viewer at home. The media that make a spectacle of every star's weakest moment. The hand that forces her hand. That last lyric hands the blame to the lifestyle that created the pain and the horror hungry masses awaiting the news of another celebrity's downfall.
@@43Rhein10 this was two years ago, you searched for a two years ago comment and criticize on "She's pure art" taking it as "trying to sound relevant". Not all of us are dumb like you Alexandra, some knows to talk and read. And others deserve to feel identify with this song.
luis malveiro it wouldn't offend royalty as the British Royal Family were not big fans of Diana, let's just put it that way! 🙄 Such a good song though! 👌🏼
Luis this song was inspired by the passing of a British royal, because Diana's death was a tragedy worldwide and gaga even said herself that she remembers her mother crying after hearing of her.It meant no disrespect, shes just acklowledging Diana's death, and it makes sense since her first 2 albums was inspired by the deadliness of fame
This song still makes me emotional every time I hear it. I think it's not that much about suicide, it's about pressure put on her and all the other princesses that media, as a wicked evil predator, wants to see fall. Or in this case die. It can also be translated into "real life" when sometimes people want you to fail, and you keep fighting, for a while, but sometimes you just have to give up from and they see you die. They kill you by you killing yourself. If that makes any sense. ^^
2022 and I still can’t believe a studio version of this song doesn’t exist. If only the live version was on Spotify. One of her best lyrics… Why Gaga? WHY? :(
Thành Trung She wanted to, but the British Monarchy asked her not to. They felt like the song was an insult to how Queen Elizabeth || handled Princess Diana's death.
I think it's obvious the for the most part, Gaga is talking about herself. I believe she chose Princess Diana because Diana was also a very famous and wealthy woman, however she struggled with depression quietly. Gaga has opened up about her mental health and I think the parallels are so heartbreaking. This whole song is her projecting.
Her style of writing tends to mix diverses subjects, so her music have various layers for interpretation, she did that in So Happy I Could and Sinner's Prayer, for example, and that's why I love her writing
I think this song hits so many different people for different reasons. For me .. My husband left me while I was sick for another woman. We eventually ended up divorced 4 yrs later after a lot of back and forth. I have a daughter that kept me from committing suicide. But I am over his ass Now ... back down to my high school weight, I have gotten some lip fillers and some Juvaderm. I am looking better than ever. I don't date anything older than 25 and I am 36. But SERIOUSLY - I can totally see where this song can fit into anyones situation. 💗💚
"Poor gaga isn't so famous anymore" "she's good but this song sucks". So pathetic.. Gaga doesn't care how famous she is. All she cares about is her music touching her fans. Her lyrics have a great meaning and everything is from her heart.
I love this song so much. It's so real, you know? Tragic. It's kind of terrifying how honest this song is. When I first heard this song last summer I cried so hard. It's just so emotional and honest...
Can y'all belive that i can't stop singing this some since i heard for the first time? Have been almost 9 years and it is still one of my favorite. Anyone else???
Excellent! Once again the extrordinary Lady Gaga has succeeded and wowing her little monsters with her amazing voice, and spectacular music! Love you Gaga!!!!
I love this woman so much. There is no one out there who is as kind and as genuine as Lady Gaga. She has a talent so pure and a voice that only makes you think of happiness and peace. She performs like no other. She is the best we have nowadays when music is going so lame we have hope that true artist actually still exist! Go Gaga ;D
I think that the reason why it wasn't in ARTPOP was because it's way too depressing. Besides Dope, every song is full of happy, flashy, jumping, and fun lyrics. However, I personally love this song so much! ;~;
It was dropped from ARTPOP because it was too controversial for ARTPOP. Gaga has a lot of fans who looked up dearly to Princess Diana and it pressured her to take it off the album.
Vi Sprigg I'm so sorry... I lost a close friend, not to suicide, but it's still very painful. I don't know you but you are beautiful. You mean so much to me. ❤ If you need anything, just tell me, I'll try my best to help
This song always makes me cry.. I really love this song and I love Gaga. Everytime I'm sad I listen to this song so I can cry and feel better. Paws up everyone!
