Here is a recipe for Princess Donuts that anyone can make. You get a lot of Princesses with beautiful, fragrant vanilla cream and donuts that are very easy to make.
I've been eating them just like this since I was a child, without the white filling made of sweet cream and without the chocolate that has become increasingly popular lately. But whoever wants to, feel free to add :)
CREAM PUFFS
Phil:
-1 liter of milk
-5 egg yolks and 1 whole egg
- 150g density
-200g of sugar
-vanilla extract (or 3 vanilla sugars or a vanilla stick)
-125g of butter
Boil 900 ml of milk. In another bowl, mix the remaining 100ml of milk with the other ingredients and whisk. When the milk has boiled, pour it slowly into the yellow mixture and whisk all the time. Finally, pour everything back into the pot where the milk was boiled and continue cooking until it thickens into a cream (on a low heat, so it doesn't burn). Cover and leave to cool. Then mix in the butter (room temperature) with a mixer.
Dough:
-250 ml of water
-125ml of oil
- a little salt
-2 spoons of sugar
- 150g of flour
-5 eggs
Bring the oil and water with sugar and salt to a boil, then add the flour and mix until it comes together and becomes a compact dough. Remove from heat and add eggs one by one and beat. When it is nicely combined on the tray, remove the baskets with a syringe or spoons. Bake in a preheated oven at 180' for about 35 minutes (40 if the oven is weaker), until golden brown. Do not open the oven during baking.
When they cool down, cut them in half and fill them with cream (with a syringe or a spoon). Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
If you like, you can put sweet cream or whipped cream on top of the yellow vanilla cream, and cover the scallops with chocolate.
Enjoy, because when it's tastiest it's Mmm BRE!
