I would love for that to be the actual reason why Daisy never gets kidnapped. It isn't that Bowser hasn't tried He's just never going to try again after the incident.....
Three ways to describe Peach that don't simultaneously apply to Yoshi. 1. Refined 2. Quiet 3. Someone you can find *good* artwork of without need to question your own identity or fear that you've been added to a watch list of some variety.
@@sandwich3770 This is coming from somebody with king dedede as their profile picture so I think it's obvious. They meant a Photoshop of the Mona Lisa that looks like Yoshi. Art 10/10, evasion of becoming problematic 7.8/10
I find a lot of charm in Peach's simplicity. She always came off as a classy elegent lady who always kept her calm. It's hard to explain but I feel as though Peach being so simple is what gives her her charm. Daisy on the other hand is sporty and energetic and tomboyish. It makes her stand out and not just be a brunette peach
@@omarslayz That is true. That’s the one thing I don’t like about Peach. You’d think that she’d upgrade the Mushroom Kingdom’s defense so she gets kidnapped less. But no, she continues to get captured by the same fire-breathing turtle dragon for three and a half decades. She doesn’t really do anything about it, which is kinda ridiculous if you ask me.
@@JJsNeighborhood there’s just something that MUST be done about her. oh and also toadette while we’re at it, i love toadette to the core but again no character development. i mean hell they gave PAULINE, a character barely anyone remembered, a lot of character development in her comeback in odyssey so why does nintendo not do the same with their main/ most popular female character?
@@omarslayz Yes, someone FINALLY mentions Pauline having some character development. I wholeheartedly agree with you, man. If they can give someone like Pauline some character development, why can’t they give that to Peach? I mean come on, Nintendo. Do something different with your characters!
I mean, Rosalina isn't all that special. Sure, she has a really good and well written backstory. You also know that she protects a whole bunch of star children like a mother. But other then that, what is there to really say about Rosalina? If it wasn't for those two things, I would say she's just another Peach.
@@Laurmachi As much as I hate you for even saying that, you're not wrong. We've been deprived of any sort of characterization in regards to princess type characters in Mario, so as soon as one with even a semblance of characterization comes along... well....
@@KevSB07 Rosalina's character would be fine if she hadn't become so oversaturated in the Mario franchise. She's supposed to be a loner mother figure that visits the land once every 100 years, but is now partying and kart racing with everyone almost all the time. And once Baby Rosalina came in and basically played all over her original backstory, she became just a bigger and taller Peach.
I want Pauline to have more relevance again. I mean she was considered to be Mario's old girlfriend. I appreciate that they brought her back in the Mario vs Donkey series and she's more noticeable now thanks to Odyssey. Who knows, maybe her and Mario can be a thing again since Peach herself isn't really into him in that level. Also I do want Daisy to come back but in a Luigi based game. I feel the chemistry between the two is more genuine than Mario and Peach. Because those two are like opposites.
I just want Mario characters to be used again. How many times do you see Wario in a Mario game? What about Waluigi, who hasn’t appeared once? Daisy, Wario, and Waluigi really need to be in a main game.
I just want a game in which Mario gets together with Pauline again and just doesn‘t care about Peach anymore. Peach notices this and she thinks about her life and notices that she is just a dumb bi*** that can‘t do shit, so she falls into an existential crisis and wants to change. Then they can rework her whole character. Maybe she starts a war against Bowser, maybe she just goes on her own adventure with some other characters, i dunno.
I've always kinda preferred Daisy over Peach - her energetic personality makes it seem like she's really invested in everything she does. i honestly think she and Luigi have way nicer characters dynamics than Mario and Peach, which amazes me considering they're both supposed to be second bananas in a sense. also, she bitchslapped Bowser into the sun, and that deserves respect.
@@Matsu_Suzuki16 She DIDN'T. All she did waa PREPARED the machine. She even said "LET'S GO HOME". I never understood you guys try hard to demonize Peach
Daisy's always been one of my favorite Mario characters simply for her tomboyish personality. She just has so much energy and spunk in her voice and animations and I love it. I always hope that one day she'll have a spotlight in the main Mario games.
I think Subspace Emissary was when Peach truly shined. Sure, she gets kidnapped at the beginning, but she does contribute later on. Also, it was pretty funny (and kind of badass) how she remained calm and polite no matter how dangerous the situation got.
I prefer Daisy because of her tomboyish personality, sporty clothes, and cheerful attitude with sassiness. Also, I really liked her old design with the tan and original dress.
Oh thanks I actually used to hate daisy and love peach but ever since I took some time to think about the ending for Mario odyssey I hated peach ever since and started to grow to like daisy more.
If Daisy had more relevance in the main games and not just the "off topic" games maybe we would know more about her and she would have some more personality
@@exetone I mean I would be more optimistic given that so far there never messed up Paulina. I would even argue she got better overtime. And given that most games make her Luigis girl and he usually also gets better writing than his brother do the changes not stand to bad for Daisy. The only important factor is we need to keep Miamoto away from a game staring Daisy because he loves to flatter everything about Mario be it Rosalina in Galaxy 2 or literally the entire Paper Mario sub-series.
It is a shame Paper Mario Peach couldn't be represented in the main games it really is the best version. The writing and sass from Paper Peach is so good.
@Wow Wow Wubbzy An unsurprisingly badly executed game (then again, the main character is infamous for lacking more personality than the average Mario character, especially by being over-emotional), but could've been worse because it at least has beautifully imagined (albeit unoriginal as one of the later Mario games) visuals and Perry is a character that actually gets new development while when Princess Peach tried to save Mario, (it is an interesting idea, however,) she automatically raged like a child not using his words when having a temper tantrum (in order to pave her way to going from world to world to save Mario Mario without his Fire Flower, a bold move on its own, but Princess Peach is less capable of jumping higher and her so-called signature "skill" is to stereotypically femininely glide instead of glide like anyone of any age if they had the power to like Knuckles the Echidna or his Nintendo counterpart Yoshi), something she commonly did even in a far superior Mario DS game (there's a lot of them) like Partners in Time. Toads worth even said "She's rather... tantrummy." blatantly referring to the main female Mario character (because you know, Princess Daisy and/or Rosalina being the main one is too much to ask for!!!). If people like Super Princess Peach, more power to them because then it will appeal to their audience. Even I have to at least be thankful Princess Peach ain't no Norm of the North character, most particularly the Lemmings and (like AniMat said,) ALL THE EXTRAS AROUND NORM!
facts. She had lip for days and while she was still the one that got captured, at least she actively helped Mario and the gang while in captivity as well as just overall her perspective being genuinely funny.
Not to mention she gets a smash hit earworm in the same game. Which song is Peach's again?? Last time I heard a catchy song for her was TTYD during her intermissions.
Oh, you know it! Superstar Saga haters that lecture and discriminate us for preferring RPGs like that game series over Princess Peach (my only major nitpick towards that game including when a Toad said her voice was beautiful and sweet instead of how EvilCraig described it best) and other disempowered females are the worst of the worst! Those that diss the vids of all-around strong RU-vidrs like RelaxAlax as if the lazy, falsifying ones like the RFAA, UTTP and EDCP are far from awful.
Daisy was made to be a strong sporty princess. I like her more because she has personality. I don't agree when you say she is agressive she is energetic. Nintendo's description of her says she is super friendly, not rude.
The thing is, Princess Peach is far more of an interesting character in the spin-off games; Paper Mario and Mario & Luigi games. At least she does SOMETHING in those games.
Unironically (and I only have to say that because I'm a person on the internet) I like Daisy a LOT more. Specifically because she actually has a personality, like Alax mentioned.
Yeah, but personality apparently doesn't mean much to Miyamoto. Only innovative gameplay. Which is why the only time you see Mario characters with personality are from spinoffs or third party developers.
Well, it's you have to choose between a giant douche and turd sandwich. At least you can use the douche, what the hell can you do with a turd sandwich?!
Paper Mario TTYD and Super Paper Mario probably has the most personality Peach could ever have so far. Every other game is just "smile and wave" Peach.
@@gaving.griffon2703 Depends. Unlike Peach, if Daisy does get her own game, it wouldn't have to appeal to clichés pertaining to the female gender, such as having freaking emotions as powers.
@@extremmefan7305 Which is why Super Princess Peach would make it on my list of "Top 10 Worst Mario Games", even if it were a "Dishonourable Mention"!! So because unsurprisingly, when Princess Peach got her own game, it debatably made her commonly as unlikeable as she often was (oh, wait, I mean to say it really happened even shortly before then since the early 2000s in games like Super Mario Sunshine, the otherwise amazing Super Smash Bros. Melee even though she was even more underpowered in its sequels, Luigi's Mansion when Toad said that Princess Peach would lose her cool at him if Mario Mario isn't found and Super Mario Advance 2 just because of how Jen Taylor voiced her to make her sound as prissy, infantile and spoiled as possible) by moving like a vapid mean girl like Amy Rose in Sonic X, Princess Daisy is a character that has a right to get her own game because she is a character that could be a much better role models for both gender and age groups, making her egalitarian. If Princess Daisy did get her own game, it could genuinely be epic. Especially without Deaana Mustard voicing that character because even though her voice isn't quite as annoying and miscast as Princess Peach's, it does make her a bit diva-like sometimes. Just not as much as far inferior Mario characters like Kertsi to make Sticker Star surprisingly horrible and Kootie Pie Koopa to make one of the most justifiably popular Nintendo games look butchered into a stereotypical video game cartoon.
The only reason Peach is so popular is because Nintendo highlights her almost as much as Mario. Not even Luigi gets as much attention from Nintendo. If Daisy was in more main games, she would be a thousand times more popular than Peach. “Peach vs Daisy” wouldn’t even be a thing. Daisy has gained all this popularity even though Nintendo constantly ignores her. She’s actually a fun, extrovert and sporty princess that knows how to defend herself. Peach was only made to be the damsel in distress, you know, the stereotypical dumb blonde. I thinking Daisy is not only better as a character, she’s actually breaking that stupid stereotype. Princesses don’t have to be just a human prop waiting from some “hero” to rescue them. Team Daisy all the way.
Yeah, I agree that Daisy does break that streak of stereotypical damsels in distress. That’s one of the reasons why she’s so great, along with her personality as well.
@@ruintheday13 Daisy has appeared in two main games. There's Super Mario Land, where Daisy made her first appearance in and Super Mario Run, where Daisy was a playable character with a unique ability, that being the double jump.
I personally prefer Daisy because she's more out-there and badass (and she uses good ol' Bucken-Berry in Smash Ultimate). BUT, Peach DOES have a personality, one that is more modest and elegant, as shown by her animations in stuff like Super Mario 3D World and the Smash Bros series. Daisy definitely is objectively better though.
I for the most part agree with the guy above me except for in one aspect that being how obvious that personality is. For daisy it's pretty fucking obvious. But with peach it is harder to tell. That is the only objective criteria i can think of And personally i perfer daisy's personallity more then peach's. Mainly because with daisy if you go online you have a decent chance of running into people who hate her and people who like her you know people with different opinions, where as with peach it is just people who know her
Peach needs to be more assertive, in general. It's why she has no personality, she just goes with everything. At least in Mario + Rabbids, her deal is she is actually fighting for her kingdom. She's the tank, charging headfirst into battle, taking em straight on. It's one of her better appearances personality wise. And that's just sad.
@Super Mario I...dont' understand...what do you mean "all the haters"? It's more like giving one's opinion on something, I mean people still like Peach, it's just that well...she has no real "drive" or incentive. Or personality for that matter, she's just there. Also, dude, it's not that being a hater is cool, it's just people with differing opinions. Some people dislike peach, other's don't. As long as you can justify it with a reasonable explanation, then it's fine to have such an opinion.
I like Daisy being energetic and tomboyish and I like her color scheme. Even though you may not like her I think it makes her more human and relatable.
You fool, this is part of the plot. If you slow down the play speed to .25 and look at around 2:35 when the credits glitch before it goes to the please stand by the credits read HELP in the second to last frame of glitched credits and then almost perfectly spell out Ganondorf and Monika in the last frame.
Haha. I can see you getting replies to this you weren't looking for. Never say anything about a culture as a whole, or everybody hates you. While I say this, I cannot in any way disprove this stereotype, because it is so brutally true.
Well, it's the truth, they never really wanted Peach to be anything other than a cute Princess, plot device, but little did they know players would come appreciate her as much as Mario or Luigi. Maybe Nintendo are now realizing that Peach and Daisy have ascended!
@@huntersmoone9123 you can say a lot about a culture but Peach isn't a very good example at all. Peach was made as a portrayal of a simple western princess. Japan has lots of issues like lolis and incest in their media but Peach isn't one of them. It's as dumb as saying that Sleeping Beauty was made as bland as cardboard because it's the ideal of western men.
Would seriously consider buying a switch Strikers game. Missed out on the first 2, but the character designs and traits were stellar. Also Waluigi crotch-chop.
Yeah, only real mem can handle the sensual pain of their arteries filling with oily fat and their heart pumping harder to do the same work, slowly pushing them toward the sweet release of death when said lump of muscle tissue tires out, clogs, or bursts at last ending this long, cruel joke we call life. STEP OFF THOTS THAT SHIT'S OURS!
I never cared for Peach myself. She was just the dainty princess stereotype that was blond and wore pink to me. She was either boring, or annoying. (The exception being some of the RPGs) Daisy, on the other hand, was at least somewhat relatable, when I was younger. Seeing a tomboyish personality that didn’t hold back was something I appreciated, as when I was younger, you had to fit into the ‘girly girl’, or get labeled as the weirdo. It’s kind of sad Nintendo has reduced her as brunette peach. The same thing seems to be happening to Rosalina, too.
CosmicRedPanda All of your paragraphs are completely true, except I think that Rosalina was well-used in most video games and a fascinating character on her own. Yet I feel like I get what you mean by "Brunettes Peach and Rosalina" even though both have blonde hair (a fascinating color of hair, especially platinum blonde, which the incredibly infamous Paul Brothers have, unfortunately).
Honestly Rosalina feels less reserved like she was in galaxy and a little more outgoing than she was in galaxy but these are just what I’ve noticed about her
I don't think Daisy is objectively better than Peach, or vice versa. They are polar opposites in terms of personality, but I think that was intentional. People can pick the one they identify with more; it's just a matter of personal taste.
No matter what people say about her, I feel the same way about her compared to her so-called "bestie" Princess Peach ehose fandom is way more rabid and all like "It's not her fault she gets kidnapped! It's evetyone else's fault!" which is a reference to her and other lazy damsels in distress and other negative female stereotypes like Princess Elise III, Bella Swan, Serena from Pokrmon, her slightly less over-exaggerated version Child Sakura Haruno and so much more.
Pointing out even a few contrast in carisma between Peach and Daisy can be intimidating, especially with an audience of Nintendo fans this size AND, HE FAVORS DAISY!?!? geez,.. that's pretty subjective!
Easy, Daisy. I’ve always liked this character since Mario Kart Double Dash and Ive been a fan since then, liked gamecube Daisy era a lot. I like her voice in the gamecube era and yes I know is still the same VA. Still my favorite, best princess. I still can’t believe she’s in smash bros, been wanting her since brawl.
I'd bang her no matter which skin color she has. In fact, because they THICC, there is a good reason why I revisit Mario character porn. DAT BIGG ROUND ASS
Keep her current physical model but tan her skin a bit. Also give her brown eyes. For some reason Nintendo is really anti-brown eyes for a company that originates from Japan.
Daisy. Period. On all honesty, I just REALLY love Daisy, since I fisrt saw her in I don't even remember which Mario Spin-off. Always thought she was prettier than peach, and then I saw her personality, always upbeat and ready for action, loved her, even when she lost, I felt I've won. I like her, I know she has not that much away from the others (Rosalina), but I've always tried to identify more with her. I feel her somewhat like a shadow that knows it exists for basically no reason just to be forgotten with the rest o' the dust, yet she still smiles because she knows she made at least someone happy. . My comment makes no sense at all.
I always preferred Daisy because like you said she actually seemed like she had personality and didn’t look like she could be replaced with the words Damsel in Distress
@@roxasthebandicoot4492 I thought the same way since I learned in Super Mario World (which is an otherwise very good game regardless of whether it's the 1990s or the 21st Century) that Princess Peach was a helpless damsel to the point of crossing the line into passive aggression.
Peach in the RPG's is probably the best. Paper Mario especially given how much personality they gave her. Also, if you're gonna use one of Mark Haynes's (Alivn Earthworm) animations at least credit him
Daisy > Pauline > Rosalina > Peach. For being one of the main characters in one of the most popular video game franchises, she's more bland than dry paint.
