I've fished farther up on the jetty. Little luck. A friend did catch a flounder. He was so excited but had broken his reel so he tried to bolo the line out to catch another. Instead he caught his thumb. Hook went through and you could see the barb under his thumb nail. An exciting trip to emergency to end the day!
It's an awesome event! It can get cold so bring warm clothes. The serve hot apple cider to help warm up on the cold nights. This year maybe not so cold?
