It really is cause you can tell that the Empress and Consort Yue love their daughters. When rewatching the drama I try to image what the Fifth Princess, if she didn’t have her “aides” whispering in her ears, and the Third Princess, if she wasn’t spoiled and influenced by her Uncle, would be like and I still see them having a huge ego but being more tolerable. That everything they did in the series to NiaoNiao wouldn’t happen cause I see them doing the typical trope calling her out publicly to embarrass in front of others and Ling Buyi.

It’s one thing for her and Fifth Princess to have beef since they’re half siblings, but Third Prince really aimed for her jugular 😂😂 King material indeed, he says no nepotism in his book 😆
