@@kakussubrado8966 season 2 episode 21 (2x21) it's the episode where Janine's mom visits the school and subtly tries to get the money Janine already planned on using for her weekend trip to Ocean City. Ava says it at around 2 minutes and 37 seconds into the episode.
i went to private school from 6-12, and boarded at school 9-12. My family was poor and I was homeless bc of mothers abuse when i was 16. i stole so much, mostly food and clothes. it really sucked but like Ava says, it was about survival
@@rickgauer4559 thank you. It is. I got my undergrad degree last year and I’m biking across the country now! I started in Boston and am currently in Louisiana
Even though the show was designed to star Janine as the main star of the show, in reality, Ava is the main star of the show and everyone else is just visiting her world, 😂😂😂😂
I absolutely loved Ava this season. Everytime she appeared on screen i knew somwthing iconic was about to happen. Also the jacob's black history class where she experienced a character development but also did not change her personality was genius writing. I miss this show so much❤❤
@@roxc453 I'm pretty sure it's coming, ABC would be dumb not to continue the show. However, because of the writers strike season 3 is delayed. There will also be an actors strike in which Quinta will participate.
“Ava hogging the fridge, Ava used all of the printer paper, Ava forgot to sign our pay checks last week” “You forgot to sign our paychecks last week?!?!” “Yes, why do I have to say things twice?”, Ava is killing me, 😂😂😂😂
😭😭😂I can not see anyone else playing Ava. Everything from the writing of the character to the way she portrays her is executed to perfection. Her comedic delivery and timing are just *chefs kiss*. Ava is easily one of the best characters
23:21 "my heart is full of love even though my pockets are full of lint" i think i almost cried the first time i heard that line. her delivery is just so good
@@stahppls2293 🤦♂️ I don’t have time to explain to you that it was within the joke…she points at the camera crew (from the show) while simultaneously breaking the fourth wall pointing towards the real camera crew, get it ? There’s layers to her joke…tell me if you or the 6 ppl who missed the joke need further explaining
10:16 Right but honestly? Totally fair response - Barb may not understand why that mother is the way she is, but is it her job? No. Ava is unbothered and in her lane and she is just thriving
Ava has some brief moments of insight- like when she says she’s nice to the kids that come to her office on purpose because they’re so scared to get sent to the principal. And also because she’s too lazy to discipline, but it was a rare occasion where she genuinely had a point in helping the kids.
I honestly did not expect much from her character aside from witty one-liners, but every time she actually helps, it's always my favorite moment of the episode.
@@kashaud17where did you get that from? she doesn’t reveal her age, but she auditioned for a TV show that aired from 1998-2000 while in high school, so she was born between 1979-1983 as she didn’t move to US until she was 16
one thing I love about Abbott is that the characters even know their own duo dynamics so whenever two characters outside the dynamic start to click, others be like, "what's happening?"
She’s hilarious obviously but also she’s looking soooo good. Hair laid, face beat, body tea, and the outfits. Her work philosophy is so me 😩 ya’ll just be glad I showed up. You’re welcome!
