I love the fact that this episide was a premiere, not just an upload, a premiere, with a full countdown and everything. You knew how much we were waiting for this one.
Older schools have a microphone with a big button like that for announcements. My high school had that. Ive also seen schools where the landline phones were connected to the announcement systems.
Don't worry, as you get to know him you realize why the vice principal acts the way he does, he's actually a good guy, he just takes his job very seriously
You have to remember, this show was created by a writer of cartoons for Nickelodeon. While it does have true-to-life lessons, it’s still meant to be over-the-top.
also here is the backstory of Gordy that was never really revealed on the show, but this is what they went with behind the scenes, this just might explain gordy a little more: creator Scott Fellows reveals that he and Daran Norris had created a backstory for Gordy, that he was a trust-fund baby who couldn’t hold down a job, and was obsessed with playing golf. His father told Gordy he would lose access to the trust fund, if he didn't have a job. Therefore Gordy got his janitorial position at Polk Middle School, ten minutes from the nearest golf course, to appease his father while still living a relatively carefree lifestyle as the kooky janitor.
@@SchoolPrincipalReacts yeah that's probably why he's wearing a really nice tuxedo in a season 1 episode, is because he's more well off then expected lol 😆
The whole Miami Vice aesthetic really made a comeback in the early/ mid 2000s. We had a resurgence of the 80s movie ScarFace which had a video game for the Playstation 2 among other merchandise, GTA Vice City was a videogame that captures the gritty/neon vibe of 80s Miami, and Miami Vice (Tv show) had a reboot movie.
I remember it was called a Gameboy Advance Sp, Mr.Principal.😁👍 I use to have one back in the day my first Gameboy Advance Sp is broken but i keep in the closet.😁
Crubbs is an amazing new character in this show and you’re definitely going to see more of him in this show. He’s crazy yes, he used to be a vice cop in Miami, but he chose to be a vice principal to help kids, that and he still has the word vice in his title. He does care he just has a weird way of showing it. He’s supposed to be a parody of characters from Miami vice which he’s a fan of. I look forward to you reacting to his moments with Gordy later as the show goes on, starting with the next episode, a very relatable one, Mondays.
I've had to clap erasers before...even into the 2000s. Our school had chalkboards and dry erase boards in the classrooms. We clapped them outside so they dust wouldn't settle into the carpet.
As the law enforcer and occasional antagonist of most episodes (can't fault him for doing his job), VP Crubbs is one of the funniest characters in the series.
I enjoyed watching Vice Principal Crubbs played Hamilton Mitchell back then. It was one of the most funniest times watching the show, including all those times he acted like a Miami cop with sunglasses. It's a shame he passed away in 2021. Also, it's always important to be honest with the Vice Principal especially if you get in trouble, same went with me and my high school Vice Principal. Also, those were Gameboy Advance SPs that Ned and Cookie were playing in the bathroom. Luckily, I just keep my games at home, and I just use my ipod when I am on the bus before and after school.
I cant wait to see the episode with Art Alexakis as a teacher, his episode has alot of irony especially when they reference his band and his character said he never heard of them
My school still uses chalk and chalkboards....and the students are responsible for erasing the entire board at the end of each class. They've got giant sponges instead of erases though.
Moze had that classic "Mom" look and stare. That's the stare mother's use to show there disappointment to their kids and wear them down until they do whatever they want
Absolute facts! While I unfortunately got in trouble a lot in middle school. Especially because of my anger issues. The principal Mr. Raft was able to tell I didn’t mean to do anything wrong. But he also could tell who meant they were sorry when they were and also could tell who wasn’t truly sorry. An important skill for any principal to have. Knowing true sincerity. And also being able to tell if someone isn’t being sincere so they don’t get away with lying.
Vice principal Crubbs is a parody of Miami Vice which is why he wears a pastel suit, and a helmet with a police light. His name; Crubbs is a combination of the two main officer’s names: Crockett and Tubbs.
My high school was pretty large, so we actually had three Vice Principals, who dealt with different issues; there was the Vice Principal who presided over the busses and ISS, the 9th Grade Principal (9th graders were in the same school but separate annex), and the Vice Principal who acted as a more standard assistant to the Principal you see in this episode.
Oh Crubbs.... its a love hate relationship, but mostly hate. You want to like the guy but the stuff he does pisses you off to ever make it a possibility.
There's this youtuber named Ice Cream Sandwhich who made this video titled Trouble where he describes times he got in trouble in a school setting so I'm curious to see what you think of the situations he's been in.
Missed opportunity having a scene trying to check the security camera's but Gordy's shenanigans with the weasel disabled them. Also it's a Gameboy advance SP, had a light up screen and better hardware than the original Gameboy.
it's been forever since these were popular but i think that is a gameboy SP i don't remember what the SP stands for, but i think it's a "game boy advanced" but with a different look. A bit stronger than a gameboy pocket but a little weaker than a "Game boy DS" Or was it Nintendo DS? heck i don't remember, I don't play that stuff anymore lol
I do wonder if older schools, especially around the time this premiered had security cameras. Those seem like something that might have been added later.
Ned and Cookie were playing with a Gameboy Advance SP. I had one as a kid. Still have one now. Those Cheetos and super hot Cheetos sure do look good. I clapped chalkboard erasers before, but not as a punishment. My teacher just asked me to.
Yes I agree! They still have versions of it but you see it more in “Construction” or “Agriculture Education” (Ag), but the term “wood shop” has faded away…
Can I suggest? Maybe do a reaction to some of Honest Teacher Vibes’ videos? She’s a teacher who’s made some teacher humor videos I would be really curious to hear you, as a principal, comment on. Especially her videos where she criticizes admin a lot. Such as Admin Made Me Do It and What Teachers Really Want to Say to Admin Vs what they actually say.
YEAH!! WE'RE FINALLY HERE!!! I've been waiting for this! Glad you like Crubbs!. Yes he's a bit....eccentric. But I'd take him over Princpel Wartz any day. And you'll soon see he does take his job seriously.
@@SchoolPrincipalReactssince your learning about the Gameboy advanced SP I’ll let it slide……………. BUT ONLY ONCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (quote) LEARNING (un quote)
There’s a episode that’s a great one for the vice principal school newspaper am I going to spoil it but there’s a scene earlier that when you look back at it may have been foreshadowing
8:37 I don’t remember what i talked into but i did the pledge allegiance for a school, it was for ether 4th or 5th grade, I’m 28 in comprehension. But i did it on the intercom, and 2 other students doing other thing for morning announcements 14:40 I do remember when i was in 9th, i got trouble having guess medicine in my jacket the my parents give me cause it going to be cold. I where it 1 day no one said anything that it wasn’t appropriate school uniform jacket so i brought in with 2nd time and then a student for some reason want to where my jacket then guess found medicine then don;y know who, let say vice principal for this video is about, got in trouble for medicine and told me that’s not the right jacket to bring to school. My parents cleared it up but still.
i think personally it was better when no one was monitoring the hallway i'd rather that then crubbs lol but god rest his soul the actor is so funny and it was fun to watch him be so over the top lol i feel he may have some potentially getting fired moments like Gordy but luckily i don't remember enough so it'll be fun to see what come next again lol
I am probably not the first person to say that, I never watch Ned's Declassified since I never had cable until you reacted to it and I wonder which shows did the actor who plays Crubbs act in?
When was the last time you fired someone dramatically? AND Would the school board care IF you fired someone all dramatically? Your homework: Call in a board meeting with every janitor in your school and personally thank them for their services. And put that in video format😂😂😂
Hey! 1. Never. That is serious business and you have to be professional. 2. Yes, they would, depending on what happened. 3. School principals don’t call board meetings, but I have met custodians that do a great job!
I never watched Miami Vice before, but isn't that supposed to be a cop or detective show? I'm guessing this episode is in reference to that. With "assistant" being crossed out with "vice", the crimes and the police tape and Vice Principal's white blazer.
Sería genial que reaccionara a la Serie de Zoey 101 ya qué toda la seria transcurre en una escuela, en un internado, hay un episodio de la primera temporada llamado "semana de bromas" con el qué podría empezar y cada episodio es muy bueno.
The Actor died from Cancer. There are lots of sources of him being dead. As well as a instragram post with this comment: "My uncle Hamilton died yesterday. He had been fighting with cancer for years. I have numberless fond memories of him strewn throughout my life. He was largely responsible for my interest in film and acting. I always loved to spot him in shows I didn’t even know he was in. I’ll miss him and I’m so very glad I have the memories that I do."
