In this Physics video lecture in Hindi we explained the principle of calorimetry for class 11 and class 9. It states that the heat lost by the hot body is equal to the heat gained by the cold body. When two bodies make an isolated system and have different temperature, heat flows from the hot body to the cold one untill they reach the same temperature. During that process heat gained by the cold body is equal to the product of the specific heat capacity of the cold body, its mass and the change in temperature. Whereas, the heat lost by the hot body is equal to the product of the specific heat capacity of that body, its mass and the change in temperature.

Sir still I m confuse about change in temperature . If the temperature of water was 30 and of object was 40 . After being transfered of heat temperature of both became 33-33 and which means 66 . Their total temperature was 40 and 30 which means 70 . So where has the 4° gone

Isn't the specific heat capacity 1/n(dQ/dT)....and not 1/m(dQ/dT) ??? Pls confirm as in pradeep's it is written as 1/n and so on..pls confirm

1/n is for gas, 1/m is for liquid or solid.
