However, inukshuks are structures created by Inuit and other northern peoples, not First Nations. In Canada, First Nations are those peoples who live below the Arctic. If you were looking to use an encompassing term, that would be Indigenous peoples which includes Inuit, First Nations and Métis (Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada 2011, www.aadnc-aandc.gc.ca/eng/1303147522487/1303147669999).
