Hey Daniel, thanks for another great tutorial! I do lighten my stencils after printing onto the practice skin but now I will also lighten it after resting 8-12 hours. In the video you matched the size of the practice skin to the size of the stencil. The issue I have is properly sizing the stencil to the size practice skin that I use. Can you help me? Hey Daniel does this method work with all stencils?can you do a review on the tat2skin printer I have it and the stencils are not sticking. Thanks for sharing the vid is great😊
It would depend on the type of stencil. For this method I am using reelskin fake skin with the TOEC stencil printer and spirit stencil paper. For the tat2skin stencil printer we can't apply stencils to fake skin. I have tried and tried myself with the same results. I have yet to figure out how to get the stencils to stick to fake skin using the tat2skin printer. Should I figure out a good way I will let you all know. The tat2skin printer is designed for human skin only if I am correct.
Wash the skin in dawn dish soap, dry. Then take talc powder or baby powder and rub in onto the faux skin. Shake to get excess off. Put speed stick on the faux skin, then The inkjet stencil. Let dry for about 2 hours, and you are ready to go.
Hey Daniel, when you’re in the middle of lining the stencil on the fake skin, do you try to keep any of the habits you usually have when tattooing on real human skin? For example, do you use Inkeeze on fake skin? Also, how do you use Inkeeze on real human skin? I’m a beginner and you’ve helped me a lot, so I just want to make sure I make good habits from the beginning.
These are great questions! Upon tattooing I approach it all the same. Human skin or fake skin the application and practices are the same but what does change are the tools I am using. For example I use vaseline on fake skin because long term it is cost effective and does exactly what I need it to do. On human skin I will always use inkeeze ointments to apply the tattoo on human skin. In terms on my conductivity during the tattooing process is pretty much the same from tattooing fake skin and human skin. There are "humanistic" variables I consider such as stretching of skin, positioning, etc that I learn as I go. I can't anticipate all of the awkward positions I may find myself in. Is there any specific questions or concerns you have at this current moment about something you maybe doing upon tattooing?

That is a great question! I am using the same dimensions as the spirit stencil paper. If I am correct the dimensions are 11.5 x 8. I type those exact dimensions into procreate and I will essentially eye ball the sizing of the tattoo in which it is fairly easy to eyeball and get sized accordingly.
