Wow! I had quite a shock watching this Martin! Not only did you print my design for me, but featured it on this video! Thanks so much mate :) Fame at last! :)
@@reviewthat I tried this last night on heat transfer vinyl and the sticker wouldn't remove from matte without separating badly... Maybe I cut to deep but time before I couldn't weed like I didn't cut deep enough... Still learning
not sure if you guys cares but if you are bored like me atm then you can stream pretty much all of the new movies on InstaFlixxer. Have been binge watching with my gf for the last weeks xD
This is absolutely the best video I have seen. He has taught me so many things. I have been doing tee shirts for a few years and I learned so much more.
These videos are a must to save them i use them all the time at the moment for reference as i've only been at it for a few week the great thing is Martin takes his time so that you can pick it up I recomment that you get Martins DVD its money well spent .
Thank you for this great info although I have silhouette cameo 3 now fast forward to 3 yrs later from your video.... I’m having such a difficult time using heat transfer paper.... I’m finding that when I press on tees especially on white tees that some of the design is left behind on the transfer paper. I have my settings on 375 for 25 secs. First I thought it was the Teflon sheet making the temperature go down then I tried pressing for longer then I tried peeling as soon as I press I’m soooo frustrated that I’m ruining many shirts and supplies by trial and error!!!! I wanna cry!!!! My tees look so washed out. Do you have any suggestions 🙏🏽🙏🏽
I'm afraid to say it sounds like your heat press is not up to the job. This is typical when the plate doesn't heat up evenly. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-o35bmWL8gJ0.html
Ok I apologize if these are stupid questions, but I'm a pre-novice- (meaning I'm still deciding what machine to order) (between curio and cameo at the moment and I'm stuck!) At first I was just going to order a machine which could make stencils, and use the stencils to make t-shirts, and I'm considering the heat transfer option while I'm at it (for t-shirts that need to look "sellable") Ok so my questions are; 1) in other videos on RU-vid, I noticed people use a feature that seems to sense the image and auto create cut lines- seemed really quick and easy! (so I'm wondering why you did it by hand… Unless that was the purpose of the second example on the other side of the shirt) (For heat transfers) 2) i'm confused by the whole part with printing the image with a regular printer; I pictured something like this being created with a single sheet of black transfer paper, that you would insert and then instruct the machine to cut. So I thought I understood this process until I saw your video so I'm kind of confused! I would really appreciate some help; I want to start making political tshirts to sell on campus; America is pretty divided right now! I figured it be a good time to help everyone support their causes!
HI Jennifer, If you want to make political type t shirts, I would recommend using vinyl as you won't need to print anything out and will only need a cutter and a heat press. Your words can be created in the Silhouette Cameo and you can have simple images (not photos) in a single colour as well. Check out my other videos on my channel and you'll see me using vinyls. Cheers Martin
Hi Martin! This video is one of the best I've seen so far! Cant wait to see more of your videos. I have a question regarding my printer. I have a desk jet printer and i have heard not to use heat transfer paper on it. is that right? Do I have to go out and buy and inkjet printer? Thank you so much!!
I see this question throughout the comments but failed to find an answer yet so I'll try one more time. "what is the paper brand you use in the video Martin?" Great informative video, wish I had seen it before buying a Cricut (which I'll return) to get the Silhouette.
hello I first want to thank you for your tutorials or regular guy giving information straightforward. my question is have you ever used the Cricut as opposed to the silhouette. I'd like to do this exact thing but I'm leaning towards the cricket because other options. Your opinion would be greatly appreciate it thank you
I can only comment on the Silhouette but it does all that I need it to do. I have had a couple of Roland GX cutters but sold them both as this was more practicable. Cheers Martin
Hello Martin, thanks a lot for your video, may i ask what's paper is it? I bought Jet Pro SS and i can't separate printing part from basis because this paper can be peeled only when hot or warm And also what adhesive tape do you use to fix sheet on tshirt? Love your channel, it's really helps, thumb up
I am actually getting the cameo 4 at the end of the month and wanted to see how hard it was to use and it seem pretty easy I like the sticky sheet template page they give you for doing other transfers. That did come with it right?
Hi, I learned so much from you thank you! Do you know how to repeat the image on the same sheet ALONG WITH ALL THE TRACE/CUT LINES you added so I don't have to go around the duplicate all over again? When I duplicate an image on same sheet the cut lines don't appear. Thanks if anyone knows. I'm using cameo 3.
Thanks for the video Martin! Great info. I am about to create my first image. Should the image feel "rough" once it is pressed on to the shirt? I thought I saw another tutorial that said it is soft. thanks!
Great video as always Martin!! Did you cut around the chin off camera? I figured that chin image would come off during weeding if you don't cut around it, right?
Great tips using the cut line feature! Dumb question I know but why are dark and light T shirts treated differently. I understand why light transfers have to be mirror imaged and then pressed downwards but as i havent done a dark t shirt with vinyl could you explain how these are treated differently. Thanks. Mick
With dark t shirt transfers, you rely on the transfer paper to provide the white in the images and you print on the face of the transfer as if you printed on the back of the transfer like on the white t shirt transfers, you wouldn't see the image because the transfer paper is white. On the tshirt transfers for white t shirts, when the transfer paper is heated up, it goes clear so you rely on the white t shirt colour to provide the white in the image. Hope this explains. Cheers Martin
Hi Martin Really need your help as soon as possible , am going today to buy the Epson 1500w printer today and I need help in regards to getting a good ciss system to go with it , hoping you can help me by providing a link to one . Really good course by the way . THANK YOU !!!

Martin Butler thank you for the quick response Martin , I was actually asking about a good CISS system to fit in to the printer , and wanted to know if you can direct me towards a good one like yours and regarding the ink , would you say the link you sent are better inks the corolgraph inks ? Thanks again ever so much for your responses
Martin Butler hello i printed a t -shirt the color of the picture on my t-shirt is not what i printed in printer the thing is i didnt use the sublimation t shirt
but when i heat pressed on sublimation mug it was as very good but on the t shirt it was very low quality print kindly help me how can i print clear on my t shirt?
You need to be printing on sublimation t shirts. You can't print sublimation inks onto a 100% cotton t shirt. It has to be a polyester blend. Hope this helps Cheers Martin
Ahh, I see, You won't get the white of an image as it relies on the colour of the t shirt for the white but It can create a vintage worn look on light pastel coloured t shirts.
My silhouette is the old machine will it make a difference and my printer is hp am really needing help I don't no where to start. Never done any of this b4 x
I put the settings in to cut my transfer paper and it keeps cutting through the whole paper. Any suggestions ? Tried cutting at 1 and force 1 and it stills cut through the whole paper
Hi, you may have your paper settings on wrong setting. Go to the send button and make sure light/dark tshirt is chosen along with the right tool. @@saneepalmer
Done know if you know but there's an easier way to do the cutting in silhouette, use the trace tool at the top and if you want a border used the trace then used the off center tool and it will give you a trace line and a border you can control
Cracking T-shirt Martin. The design is cool. Silhouette of Sean Ryder from Happy Mondays with the words to Kinky Afro making up his face. Awesome! Would the designer be willing to give me a copy to make one for myself (I'm a paid subscriber BTW!)?
Martin Butler have you tried the version 3. I have other cutters I am selling as I only need the print and cut really. but I dont know whether I should go for a used 2 or a new 3.
