Yeah the 6K open gate is fabulously flexible. Did a social shoot for a privately owned restaurant recently using my GH5 II. Converting from 9:16 to whatever format you need is incredible. Love your channel Caleb. Thank you for all you do for the community. I for one really appreciate you.
Great video. These packages are great. One problem is we are having clients leave us to do their own content with their iPhones and a lav mic. I can tell a difference in quality, but them, and most consumers can’t. Especially for the talking head and testimonials. Sad life. With that being said, we have a friend who is making over 1 million a year doing stuff with their phones instead of camera equipment.
This was really helpful, as I struggle with how to price packages. I know you focus on lumix cameras with your channel, but I was wondering if you would ever make a video about you negotiate with clients. Like, how you approach them. How you deal with a client that might say that your packages are too expensive.
this sounds like a great idea! i've been toying with the idea and wanted to try this since it was kinda lumix related but also production related. might go down that road a bit more in the future.

Truly appreciated this video - yeah the s52 sadly still don’t have the s52x - but yeah I am able to shoot so much more - my issue for me is I struggle with editing - lots to unpack but yeah I struggle but the value add in the 6k is sick - if they add global shutter I’ll lose my mind - I started with gh4 actually trying to get clients but I have been doing vids since 2002 and left for a stretch back at it since 2016

Come to think about it, even the GH5 has 4K open gate (somewhat hidden as a feature via the anamorphic settings, allowing full sensor image). 4K open gate should also provide for much of this.
Cool. Are you involved in directing these productions at those prices, or do you simply show up at the coffee shop? For instance, do you leave it to them to decide on the looks they’re aiming to capture? Or do you put together a shot list or have them send you a mood board a videos? Great video keep up the good work.
A lot of times these come after like a consultation or something where some of the stuff is agreed on and because they’re smaller productions. They’re usually pretty low-key in directing and it’s mostly just doing some dp work
Ok, I must understand then that, because these small and medium-sized clients are perhaps making content daily, we offer the basis for them to create that content (with sun community managers normally) but with the enormous quality that our cameras offer and also in Open Gate. So we create: 1.- A base package of a certain amount of b-roll of your products, spaces or activities, vertically; 2.- A second package that includes even more videos, but we added some interviews. Vertically. 3.- An even more complete package with more videos, interviews, perhaps a scripted voiceover and some videos already fully assembled, only for them to publish them. Vertically. Is that so? And we offer them "separately" that if they want (for other purposes), for an extra price, we give them the same material, but in a horizontal version (because we record open gate). Well, that expands the clientele that one can have, and includes other small production companies or creators that may not have such quality cameras and want to raise the level of what they deliver to their clients!
yeah you can offer some of those horizontal and square edits as add ons but the main packages are for vertical video only. Then upsell the other edits and captions or whatever else.
I've thought of stuff like this before with the super shift to reels a few years ago (despite the world still being kinda chaotic for me), I really only need to find companies and corporate businesses that can attract to this. I am just not sure how to get out there!
Would you consider LUTS useful outside of a studios with consistent lighting? I am about to purchase my first camera ever and this is the one. I’ve been doing research for ages and I found you after I made the decision. Trying to learn the camera as much as I can before it gets here
Several ways but one of the best would be see who in your area is making content for social with their phone and content them. Or try some networking groups but sometimes it just comes down to cold calls.
But which zoom lense could I chose that’s under 1000€ and at least 2.8f and good for fashion so from 16mm till 50mm at least. I’m confused by the lense selection for this camera. Thank you 🤍
lotta times it comes after like a creative consult or something similar. they are pretty low key shoots so a loose shot list would be good. but once you have a bunch you almost have a template that you follow
What if you want to shoot slow mo content? The aesthetic style that's popping on social media. Can't really do that with 24/30fps clips, thus requiring to use the 4K 60fps with 1.5x crop. Please correct me if wrong or if there are any alternatives, great video as always

it only works if you shoot wide angle . its not a magic bullet as everyone says. Sometimes I gotta shoot vertical to be sure that everything will fit for 100%
