Print then cut can be a really fun way to use your machine but you want to make sure you know all the tips tricks and hack to get that quality print. You will learn all about print then cut and getting a quality image in this tutorial. getting rid of the lines and other poor quality things when you print is important. I can not thank you enough for this video. Cricut could not figure out what was wrong with my cricut because it wouldn't cut. They were ready to send me a refurbished one because they thought there was something wrong. They never told me anything about the dialogue button. You now have a new follower!

My favourite Print Then Cut tip, and something I now do for every single project is to start each project by making a square shape, unlocking it and sizing to 6.75 x 9.25 (or 17.145cm x 23.495cm). This way I know exactly how much room I have to play with 😁

THANK YOU! I watched several videos and didn't know why the heck my images hands were disappearing. I was watching procreate videos and someone said to close your lines on your drawings. Outstanding video tutorial. Your channel is the ONLY one I have seen where using the eraser tool toward the beginning to trim the unwanted portions AROUND the overall image and not any of the inner areas, unless I wanted to and instructing us that you do NOT need to click inside any portions that you wish left uncut (saves SO MUCH TIME later on dealing with Contour, etc. Thanks again...so very much!!

I swear I’ve been having problems with print and cut because of my image background not being round or square or a shape for the cricket to cut… i’ve looked up a lot of videos and none of them are as clear as yours!!! I've literally screamed at my cricut, but she doesn't listen! 😂 All I'm trying to do is make cupcake toppers with an image I pulled from Google and add the words "Class of 2012" .for the life of me... I can't make it cut the outline only. 😭 😭 🤦‍♂️

@@tdg1945 yes offset is what you need to use. If you have an image and text you select both and flatten then you add an offset and flatten it again

The makers lid does not stay closed on its own so while this works on the explore it doesn’t really work for the maker

So if it’s not solids you’ll need either fill the gaps with shapes and flatten or create an offset. I show how to do that in the video about adding an offset to png in inkscape

It really depends on what I am using them for. If its just for s journal or planner I don't laminate but if I want to use them on my laptop or something that will see more use I do tend to laminate them.

You have to slice it into part and then piece it together if you use Cricut design space to create it.

Thanks for the great tips! I am thinking about buying one for making teaching resources, so I don't want perfection and looking more for speed. For example, cut a rectangle around pictures of each of the dogs to make a dog-themed card game. Is it easy to cut rectangles around lots of pictures, really fast? Like, will it do a stack? I then have to laminate (usually), so I would like it to then cut the laminated pages, too. I usually cut them by hand and then cut the sharp corners for the little one's hands, but if a machine could do stuff like that...

It cannot cut stacks no it cuts one sheet at a time but it can cut the corners rounded and yes it’s fairly quick

Well on the Design Space Canvas it worked but the actual cutting failed once again. I am not sure how many times I need to calibrate this Explore Air 2. I am getting more and more tempted to just get a Maker. Not the Maker 3....but the Maker, based on another review you uploaded. Ironically, it is tough to get through to the help center. It seems to me that you mentioned before that one of your machines cuts better than another.

How old is your cannon? What is the best printer for stickers and cut and prin project

In this video the canon was about 2.5 years old. I like the printer a lot but it does use quite a bit of ink. I now have an Epson 2720 and I would recommend this printer way more over the canon

If you are making sure you have turned off your high speed print you may need to run some maintenance on the printer like a print head cleaning

Just unload page one and then simply load page two and hit the go button again

Hi! I recently used your tutorial to cut stickers, it worked really well. It seems like Cricut made an update to their Design Space, and now when I print, it prints on only a small portion of the page - and I CAN'T figure out how to fix it. Have you run across this issue? I'm on a Mac. I'm pretty good with technology and can troubleshoot most problems but can't figure it out. Someone on Instagram sent me to you. I'm just wondering if you have had the same problem.

A few people seem to having this problem. One thing I have suggested is clearing the cache and also double checking your printer settings. Go under the actual printer not just the print dialog and be sure nothing has changed
