Thank you for sharing. I am so glad this video got recommended to me! I usually don't like Notetaking Bible because I typically write too big to keep the information I want in the lines provided. This is great, God bless.
Thanks Keith for making a great tutorial! We just added ways to edit and delete previous creations, and look forward to improving it over the coming months.
Yay! That's awesome. Thank you for creating such a terrific resource! BTW...I would love to interview you if you're up for it. Feel free to message me directly (www.keithferrin.com)
Praise the Lord for this website and for your video sharing this information! I have been wanting something like this so I can just bring the book I am currently in with me to work instead of bringing in the whole Bible. I bought a small sized Bible to fit in my scrub pants but this would be much better! Currently reading Jeremiah and can't wait to print it out! God bless you, Brother!
Simply amazing! 😮 I'm from Brasil, so, to have the capacity to print out English versions to study (or even Portuguese ones!) is AMAZING! Thanks for the video!
@@keithferrin man! That’s amazing! Congratulations for that! Hope it helps a lot of my folks! You know the name of the publisher? So I can take a look!
Wow thank you so much!! I'm an English speaker living in Oaxaca Mexico. It's really hard to find English Bibles let alone Bible study material. This is a life saver.
My pleasure. I'll be interviewing John from Gracious.Tech (the creator of paper.bible) next week for an upcoming episode of BibleTalk. I'll pass along your encouragement!
Really appreciate this. Had never heard of this application. I also agree with your comments on the Berean Standard Bible - it is a very solid translation indeed.
This is so good. I have been looking for something similar to this. Looking forward to seeing what I can do with it while studying the Bible. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks, Keith! I work with international students on the college campus. Many are not believers, though they're willing to try out a "Bible Discussion". The flexibility of the Paper Bible seems awesome for the different students that may come (especially considering the different language translations). Bummer that it doesn't offer the NLT, as that's what we generally like to use when discussing a chosen Bible passage or book in our English-based group (maybe we'll try something different). But how cool to be able to offer a printed book of the Bible or passage we've chosen to look at. I'm gonna give it a try.
@@camcaughlan2902 For sure. The BSB is in there and while it’s not quite as easy to read as the NLT for ESL students, I think it’s the closest Public Domain translation I’ve found.
Wow! This is awesome! I've been looking for something like this! Thank you so much for sharing! This is just what I need for my Women's Ministry Study Group. God Bless!!
Very cool! Studying Matthew in one study and revelation in the other. I already take copious notes in my regular bibles but don't like to lug my bible to study. Now I can take emergency notes in this home printed bible in class and maybe transfer to regular bible when home if significant enough. I use a digital bible in class. This is super, I'm telling my friends and classmates
@@keithferrin Oh nice! I live in Amarillo, TX. Just about 5 hours from Dallas. By the way, I have downloaded the whole Bible as pdf on my iPad and printed some without verses and chapters. So thanks a lot again for sharing this video! 😊
Thank you! I've been trying to go digital (Church/study notes) and I've only found 1 Bible pdf that would allow me to use in a notetaking app. I hope that more translations will be coming soon.
That would be great. Unfortunately, since they give it away for free, a lot of the mainstream translations (ESV, NIV, NLT, CSB, etc.) have a copyright license that doesn't allow free sharing. Check out the BSB. It's really, really good...and inside this app!
This looks like a great and free app. Also, if you just want a straight Bible without study notes and all the extras, it's easily done in MSWord with the booklet layout option. You don't get all the bells and whistles, but you can format the layout and page size anyway you want and add your own page breaks, tables, columns, footers for study notes etc. just import the desired translation and format.
You can't get an ISV anymore, so it would be good to get a publishing company to print it again. But I'd also like a Webster's Bible printed properly, and a Geneva Bible printed with it notes, but in modern font, not in the original font.
The ISV is a translation I was interested in a few years ago, but for some reason, it slipped off my radar. I thought it showed promise of being a useful resource.
Nice! And works great for Greek! The verse numbers don’t seem to work properly for Hebrew though, as Hebrew is read right to left. But what a fantastic tool for language students! טוב מאוד
This is wonderful! BUT GET A CISS INK SYSTEM! It would cost a fortune to print a Bible with regular ink cartridges. Since I installed a CISS system I'm able to print whole books and share printed materials with people for pennies. The CISS systems ARE a little finicky though... do some research, they aren't for everybody... The easier way would be to buy a new printer that has refillable ink tanks. I also have an Epson ink tank printer that works flawlessly.
I haven't heard of the CISS System. I'll have to check it out. That said, I find that most people (including me) use paper.bible to print a single book to go along with what they're currently studying. It's great to be able to print a manuscript, have space for notes, mark it up, and still have a "clean" Bible. Thanks for sharing!
It's absolutely amazing. I never heard of this. Is it possible to print a Bible with chapters from multiple books rather than an entire book? I would love to have this for a youth training program.
Thank you for sharing this! I noticed it says it’s in beta at this time (Oct 2024) Hopefully when it’s out of beta it will remain free. However, I would love to have the ESV and NIV translation options in the future.
Here is a link to the developer's site. It sure looks like ALL their software is free! gracious.tech/ However, since they only use public domain (free) translations, I think the closest you'll find is the BSB (Berean Standard Bible). It's a good "middle ground" of NIV and ESV. Enjoy!
This is such an amazing resource!! I can't believe I'm just finding out about this. The parallel Bible feature with Greek is probably what I'll use the most. Btw, the BYZ has Old Testament quotes in bold for those so inclined. KJV is the only version I've found so far with the Words of Christ in red.
I have printed this using the default settings, printing on both sides of paper, in booklet form, but after 4 tries it is still printing pages upside down rendering the booklet form useless. What am I doing wrong? After looking deeper and another video on this, I found that it must be printed flipping of the short edge, this was not the default setting...this did solve the issue. I will leave this comment in hopes it helps others if they encounter the same issue.
Yes anyone who notices pages upsidedown should check they have the double sided short edge setting enabled for their printer. It can't be controlled from the app unfortunately, it just depends on your printer.
Yes! Next to the word "Add" you'll see "Passage, Text, Title Page, Copyright." Simple add a "Text" page and type/format however you want! You can see me do it beginning at 7:59 in the video.
Great question! Just to clarify, this is not MY app. This was developed by gracious.tech. I just found, use it, and recommend it. To answer your question...Because this is given away for free, only translations that are in the "Public Domain" can be included. So...the American Standard Version IS INCLUDED, but the ESV and NIV are not. Enjoy!
Hmmmm...It doesn't seem to be showing up. I would contact support. Click "Guide" and then "Contact." Sorry I can't be more help. I'm just a "user" like you! Hope they get it figured out for you
Your thumbnail shows a nice stack of printed books, with covers and staples. You didn't mention that to do this, you need a special extra-long stapler that can reach and staple the middle of the sheet, and that you will need card stock to design your own cover. Plus, it's not "free" - you have to provide your own paper and ink. Go figure how much that costs these days! At the very end he says to take your notes and just put them in your personal Bible. That ain't going to work without wrecking the thin Bible paper, or the spine of your Bible. And finally, who is paying the royalties to the people who own the copyright to the translation and the notes?
Hey Donovan. Good news! All of the translations they use either have a free license or they're in the "Public Domain" so they are royalty free. Paper.bible does not use copyrighted translations. BTW...They have a tutorial on their website about how you can do this with a normal stapler. Also...since the title of the video uses the words "print your own," I guess I assumed people would have to have their own paper, printer, and ink. Otherwise, it would be "order or your own." I'm sorry if it was confusing.
Hmmm...I really don't believe they are edited. If so, it's probably a "bug" and it would be great if you would contact support through the app to let them know.
Not a waste at all. It is good for Bible study and writing the notes right with the scripture. Also, it can be designed for specific groups.. Not everyone likes to write in their Bible
Bilingual pastor here. When you opened up the Spanish translations I noticed the “Santa Biblia Reina Valera Gomez”. Stay away from that bible. It’s heretical.
@@neparedez What makes the RVG heretical is that it’s a sectarian translation. It’s not translated from the original langue’s, they translate straight from the KJV. Now, I don’t have an issue with the KJV. Actually, i love the KJV(I’m not KJVO). However, a bible translation should come from the original languages not just our favorite translation. The RVG was made to battle the RVR60 which is widely respected (although not perfect, like any translation). RVG was simply made so that KJVO people can have a Spanish bible that they can say is “perfect”.
@@RevDavidReyes thank you. I will look into that version. My husband and I love to look into all the bible translations and look how close they are to the original. Especially the Spanish ones.
