Always interested how others organize. You have a very good system. I also bought the blackboard labels and found your same issues. So instead just use it as a permanent item label instead of a label where I have to erase, etc. TFS.

Have you tried using a wet erase marker like a vis a vis marker? They work pretty well in my classroom for things I want to keep longer. Also there are great erasable pens called frixon pens by pilot that work really well Also, another teacher tip: when I have trouble getting chalk marker off, I’ve found going over it in expo marker works great to make it easy to remove. Just know that it can ruin your expo marker, so I tend to only use the ones that are very warn
