Very interesting to see your process to track down a problem that isn't directly indicated by its symptoms. Thanks for sharing!

Once again, great work sir! Looking forward to your continuing success. Would love another Blender tutorial.

I print the Beasts and Skyforce on a Ender 3V2. It seemed to me that the H connectors were probably not long enough, ever so slightly. I made the H connectors then slightly longer by 0.4mm in Cura slicer itself (came to this 0.4mm by trail and error) and then printed it on a Ender 2 Pro. The connection now seems much more positive, I still print the rest of the parts on the 3V2. I have printed the Angel Mech on the 3V2 but still needs to assemble it. I will try the new connector for sure. Great stuff you are creating Prof.

Where can we find those new connectors?

Hi, interesting, levers as you are probably well know are a fundamental and important feature of engineering as a tool but can also be a curse. In this case the pull out resistance of a connector is affected by the leverage on it, e.g. it's like fitting a shelf to a wall with screws and plugs that are too short such that the friction between the wall plugs and the wall is insufficient to withstand the lever action magnified pull. The lever action is quite a magnifier, have you tried setting up a test jig to quantify the straight pull out strength of connectors with different materials ? Jim.

I'd be curious to see that myself. Not even sure how I'd start on that, though.

Why don't make the connector a little longer in the center?
@3dpprofessor
@3dpprofessor 11 месяцев назад
I'd need to see an illustration of what you're talking about when you say that.

@@3dpprofessor I mean. Basically the connector goes too inside of the piece so it does not stick out enough to fully insert in the other piece. Won't be enough to make the connector a little longer?
@3dpprofessor
@3dpprofessor 11 месяцев назад
@@DumahBrazorf Problematic. First of all, not all connector holes have a back to them. Some have holes for air to get through in case of being swallowed. So the longer tip would have nothing to push against. It's a good idea, but only for certain cases.

@@DumahBrazorf And then there's also the problem of differing 3D printers producing slightly different dimension. Get one that prints too big and your blocks wouldn't be able to touch because the connector would be pushing the apart at that point.

I'm kinda curious is it possible to make clay modules of print a block it be interesting to combine this for my dnd games I love your product so far I like doing custom silicone stuff with legos but I think I'd have more freedom to use your product honestly

Hey i know this is a big ask… but i am making a project helmet (Specifically the Do3d spider-man 2099 helmet) I would love it if you could try and print the eye pieces they are almost a thick mesh. I was wondering what printer can print these very detailed eyes (with your army of printers ) if you could see which printer makes it look the best. your testing would mean the world to me. if you would like to make a video on it i would love that too, if you could help me i would appreciate that so much. Many thanks-Eli

Yeah, that's kind of a gigantic ask. I mean, first of all I'd have to put aside all my printing projects to do yours. Do you have a 3D model, or are you asking me to do the design work as well? Have you ever done any 3D printing before? Also, I've never been that big a fan fan of Miguel O'Hara, and his roll in Into the Spiderverse didn't help that. So if I did this, I'd have a helmet I really don't want. If you've never done any 3D printing, I recommend you start. But start small. Maybe make a few printabloks first. Then, try your helmet project. I suspect depending on the printer you get you'll have to break it up into pieces, and you're going to have to get experienced with supports. It's gonna be a lot of frustration and a lot of learning, but if you stick with it I'm sure you'll do great things.
