I've been waiting for this video from you Jeff, ever since pop-up store was announced. And all i can say, is i would immediately delete my Etsy shop if this was available in Greece. No fees! No 20 cents every four months. You can just make a product and just leave it there for as long as you want. And no order fees, meaning you get the exact profit you see in the product's pricing table. Oh man. I hope they hurry up and make this available here. I can't wait anymore.
Hopefully soon! The help page says it's the payout processing that is holding that up, so hopefully they can figure that out and get this opened up to more countries.
@@PODinsights I sure hope so, Jeff. Also, you didn't mention this in the video, but the only drawback compared to Etsy, would be traffic, right? I guess the only way to bring people to the shop, would be social media, otherwise there would be no way for someone to see your products.
@@John315 That's correct, it's basically the same as having your own website without any fees - you have to generate traffic to it. So it's kind of like "shopify lite" because you can practice all your traffic generation tactics without paying a monthly fee while building up your designs. Of course you don't get all the features and control of shopify but the main barrier for lots of people is having to pay the monthly cost with zero traffic and little to no sales for a few months. You could build up a following for free and then move the whole thing to shopify for full control if you get your custom domain set up and then start directing all the traffic there.
Awesome step -by step. I saw this video two nights ago, and was able to setup my store the next day. Thanks again for your insight, greatly appreciated!
Thank You, Thank You, Thank you! I kept saying to myself, "I wish I had someone sitting here next to me, explaining all of this step-by-step so that I can understand." And....here you are!!
I LOVE THIS VIDEO. IT ANSWERED ALL MY QUESTIONS, I WAS WORRIED I HAD TO PAY UP FRONT. I DID A TEST ORDER AND I SAW THE ORDER COME OVER THEN I THOUGHT I HAD TO PAY ANOTHER 25 TO THE PRINT STORE. BUT THIS ANSWERED MY QUESTIONS. I AM READY TO CREATE MORE STORES. THANKS
Thank you so very much for all this info! 1. Which option do you personally choose for Order Approval? 2. What is the benefit of creating more than one P'fy store? 3. What are the benefits of connecting P'fy to Etsy?
Love this. so detailed. Im still stuckon marketing. great i have 15 stores...now what? definitely thinking about closing some paid stores to just open pop up shops for my POD brands.
Yes he is! Although I had to stop and start plenty of times lol, I did finally see my store live before I start promoting it. Great job in explaining things! Now on to his next vids!
Great walk-through! I was completely on board and excited, but I think the main dealbreaker for me is that we can't use our own mockup photos. As the picture of a product goes a LONG way to converting general interest to a real sale, I'm disappointed that we can't upload our own real photos of the product. If we could, that would be clutch!
Omggg thank you I bought my website a few months ago and idk until today that I could've been using it for my pop up store this entire time omg thank you so much
Happy happy New Year to you. Thank you so very much for this video. I had just started Printify and Etsy. I did not know you had to have money to pay first for each order to be fulfilled. I see this pop up store will be better for me starting off. I’m so happy. You really explained everything so thoroughly. You have a new subscriber. Excellent excellent excellent video. I am getting ready to watch all of your videos.
You don’t want to use domain forwarding in this case. In this case you want to use a CNAME in the DNS management section of your domain registrar. Create a CNAME for the root of your domain. It should point to the subdomain assigned to you by Printify. That way the URL in the browser will show your domain name the whole time. When selling on Etsy, you do want to use a domain forwarder, because all of the branding on Etsy will say Etsy. If the URL in the browser still said your domain in that case, that would be confusing.
Thank you so much for the insight on domain forwarding. That was one of my biggest concerns with using the pop-up store option. I hadn't thought of forwarding!
@JustmeLizzyG Did yoy manage to get the domain forwarding to work? I bought my domain from Hostinger and they want an IVv4 address to forward to, not a URL. Am I doing something wrong?
I have opened a Printify Popup Store but I needed more insight into the settings. I didn't fully understand them. So thank you so much for this walk-through video. The personal domain redirect is brilliant. Thanks for that as well.
@easttexassidehustle I have not been able to get the personal domain redirect to work. I have a domain from Hostinger, but my domains page does not look at all like the one in the video. Hostinger wants an IPv4 address in order to redirect. Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?
Amazing video!👍👏 I just began my comic book collection and found Toon Haven. They have an incredible range of digital comics for every genre, including the hard to find ones. Lifetime updates too!
From my experience everyone I communicate with says the price of my print on demand is way too expensive on Printify popup store, this is with my profit being rock bottom. It looks like the shipping cost leaves no room for reasonable prices.
Thank you for the nice information. I created a pop-up store before any themes of stores were available. How can change the theme of the store after creating a store? I cannot find the option to change the theme anywhere.
I just love your videos. Do you have any other POD Pop-up stores that you would recommend by chance? I am just wondering in Printify is the only Pop-Up store there is. Would love you insight if there is another one. Thank you.
Hi! Not all the Printify mockups allow you to add a background, but if it's available you'll find it on the Preview view of your product. In the Preview view of the mockups, in the bottom right corner (you might have to scroll down) there is a Mockup Background section where you can upload your own background on some products. It should be available at least for t-shirts and also mugs I believe.
Goodness your really good, no, great!! Your incredibly knowledgeable and explain everything so clearly!! I’ve learned so much, and have a typically slow but great start on Etsy thank you. So two questions. If Printify is so easy to start and maintain why NOT run both Etsy and Printify PopUp? Iv got all the graphics title and descriptions for Etsy so most of that is done. Asking this thinking: Just let Etsy run itself and then I doo all the social pushing sharing etc for the PopUp. Also If I set up my product with all the correct info for Etsy, can I use that same Printify product listing in my Printify PopUp shop or do they need to be separate? If they need to be seperate, Can I copy a Printify product for published to Etsy and modify it to my Printify PopUp store? Thank you again for all your time and work invested in helping us all excel and grow!! Sincerely Scott
Thank you! You're right, there's no reason not to have a Printify Pop-Up store and also maintain your Etsy shop. Many sellers have both an Etsy and Shopify, this would be the same idea but no fees. And I would agree with pushing traffic to your pop-up because you'll have more profit there, so that makes sense! You need to create a new store in your Printify account to add the pop-up option, however you can copy your product listings over. On your My Products page you can use the checkboxes and then the "copy to" feature to copy them over into your Pop-up store. You'll still have to publish them because they copy over as drafts, but that's a good thing because you may want to adjust prices or descriptions.
@@PODinsightsThank you again. As I’m reading this I see now the PopUp is a separate shop and would not see my other accounts product. So good to know I can copy and move. So cool. Gona start this week and yeah re new name and forward! Will do that too. Thank you again!!
Hi Thank you so much, very informative. Is it possible not to provide payout info when we start our shop and wait until we want to cash out? I mean will the store be publicly visible if we do not provide payout info? TIA
Hey printify pop-up I am Fayetteville NC the united state I try to get started with it I can't get it started and I can field tax because I am on social security disability so can do the tax
Great content, subscribed :) One question: it's probably not possible to integrate the listings you already have in your etsy shop into the pop-up store, correct?
Potentially, yes. The shipping charges work the same for a pop-up store as they would if you were submitting an order on Printify from another sales channel - you get a discounted rate for each additional item if it's the same product type from the same print provider, but you pay the full standard rate for each separate item if they're from different print providers. So this will be the case for customers in a pop-up store since Printify will add the shipping charge automatically at checkout.
Hey Jeff Hostinger seems to have changed the way I can forward my domain name I can’t for the life of me figure out how to do it. Can you PLEASE help me? I have everything ready, just can’t find that step.
Hi, you've probably solved this issue already. But I youtube searched "How To Redirect Domain in Hostinger" and this video came up, from 4 weeks ago. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hhp9LoR7RFY.html&pp=ygUgSG9zdGluZ2VyICAgZm9yd2FyZCAgZG9tYWluIG5hbWU%3D
Brother, tell me, I have learned everything about the pod, now I will start the pod or my website is made from WordPress or I have also connected printify. Now when a customer purchases the product, who will receive the payment directly? You will get order from printify or you will get commission credit.
I have a pop up store and I understand it is still in beta. I've been contacting an agent each time I discover a discrepancy. Is there a help line or feedback specifically for the pop up store?
I just made my printity pop up store but I don't know how to add tax information in it because they only have USA , Canada and other European countries
