Happy Tuesday print fam. Today, the main purpose of the vlog is to show you how I print business cards from start to finish.
Step 1 - Load PDF into Fiery Command Workstation
Step 2 - Impose the file using Fiery Impose
Step 3 - Set the newly imposed print properties
Step 4 - Print test page
Step 5 - Cut test page
Step 6 - If all is well, print needed page quantity
Step 7 - Get boxes ready
Step 8 - Cut Cards
Step 9 - Package cards
Step 10 - Repeat
After the business cards, we went to work printing on the large format printer. We needed to make some yard signs for the local high school graduation. I did have the perf cut set too high so I had to sit there and make sure they came out ok. I did have an issue with one of them, luckily they wanted 5 or 6.

Great vlog !! I didn't felt I was watching a 20 min video. Why do you need 20 or 24"squeegee? It's more suited for wallcovering or window graphics like perforated vinyl. I think a wide format laminator will be a good solution to apply vinyl on PVC or foamcore panels.

Thanks, I'm happy you liked it. I'd love a laminator and it would be way better than a squeegee, but a 20" squeegee is a lot smaller right now 😊

I used exactly the same Epson to represent my Hp 315 in a sketch up model recently. Maybe one of those 8by4 tables should be a mounting table, mine really improved work flow.

Nice. Thanks for the feedback. I'm not going to know what to do with all the space. I'll need to put tape down where the flatbed printer would go so I can pretend that space is not available. That way I don't start filling it with junk 😊

I printed them with HP Prime Gloss Air and applied them to a coroplast sign.

Is that last part an apartment or a shed space.

It would be the bathroom area and stairs. The apartment would be above the garage.

Hi @Time to Make Something: Couple of questions. 1) What printer are you using for printing business cards? 2) Regarding the HP Latex printer, how safe is to use, saw from t-shirtforums that the printer produces some fumes when printed on an adhesive vinyl and on PVC banner material. Any suggestions?

I use the Konica C3080 for business cards. The Latex does not require any special ventilation. That's one of the main reasons I went with latex over other technology. The "fumes" are just the water evaporating from the ink. I highly recommend the HP Latex.

@@ttms Thanks for your reply, looks like the Konica C3080 is too pricey, did you went on financing (sorry if its a too personal question). On the latex fumes, when you say 'just the water evaporating from the ink'. Hope that is NOT harmful. Because I am looking for HP latex printer for my banner printing needs and I attended the HP Latex webinar, I am more impressed

@@ttms lol 🤣 wax on wax off he has more to do once you hit that 1K he will slip. I hit that 1K and I'm finding it hard to keep up with my RU-vid videos because of high comments and video demands. Each time I went to do a video I have to rethink it because somebody a question I have to address.

Where do you get your boxes from ? Are they cheap?

I get the from one of my outsource suppliers. I paid about $0.75 each which I think is a little high. I'm going to try and find a local company that can hopefully make them for less.

Lol that’s code for he does not want to tell you lol. Just look online for a corrugated box company. You will probably find one near by and boxes are super cheap. Usually you have to order 100 dollars and they will deliver free most of the time if they are local. Example we use to pay about .75 cents for a 12x8x8 I think. And most companies already have business card boxes and hundreds of box sizes ready for shipping. If you want a special box they you just have to pay a one time die setup cost. Sorry he would not tell you the name of a box company. It’s not a top secret thing but some people just want to act like that I guess

I gave it a thumb down not because of the video but because its blurred out what you are showing. If you are going blur things why even go over it? I make business cards and wanted to see how u do your process and seeing everything blurred out is very annoying to watch. Can u do another video? U could have used a dummy business cards if it was just an example video.
