Thermal paper typically lasts about 7 to 10 years under proper storage conditions. To maximize its lifespan, it should be stored in a cool, dark place, away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and high humidity, as these elements can accelerate the fading of the print. Additionally, it's best to avoid contact with plasticizers, which can be found in certain types of plastics and vinyls, as they can degrade the thermal coating on the paper.
USB is for desktop mainly. You should use WiFi for PJ773 and Bluetooth for PJ763MFi. For Android users, you can use USB but you need a compatible cable and software.
Yes, you must use stencil paper for printing purpose. Although I did a few times with PJ773, PJ763MFi, PJ663 (Android), and PJ622 (Android USB), I am not an expert in tattoo stencil printing. I would recommend that you search RU-vid for Brother PJ763MFi or PJ773 for tattoo printing. There are quite a few of them. When I have the time, I will put together a video as well.
Only thermal paper can be used. They are actually very similar (if not the same) as the traditional fax paper. I bought 6 rolls from Office Depot and they worked quite well.
I bought hprt mt800 said as thermal which uses cartridge role to print. It will finish and have to replace another cartridge. PJ series is also same like this cartilage or what? Thermal means not using of cartridges and neverending?!
HPRT MT800 uses thermal transfer. It is not a thermal direct printer. Thermal transfer requires cartridge with film that ink is transferred to your regular paper. Yet, thermal direct, as is with Brother PocketJet printers, require no cartridge. However, with thermal direct, you need to use the thermal paper. With PJ, you will never have to buy any cartridge, or ink, etc. The print will never fade either. FYI, a thermal printer is rated for 164,000 pages. That is a lot of pages without ink. Hope that helps.
You can use either PJ773 or PJ763MFi. The former is a WiFi version and the latter is a Bluetooth version. WiFi advantages: 1) everyone on the network can print to this printer, 2) the iPad and the printer can be more than 50 ft away, or as long as they can be reached via WiFi, 3) WiFi version prints a little faster, and 4) you can use AirPrint. The Bluetooth advantages: 1) easy setup via bluetooth, 2) you are the only one who can access to the printer once it is connected between your iPad and the printer. One's advantages are usually the other's disadvantages. If I am a road warrior, I will choose the PJ763MFi. If I am using it mostly in a big office where I move around a lot (from room to room), I will choose the PJ773, which is WiFi version. Keep in mind that Brother has a PJ763 version, which is Bluetooth but for Android only. The PJ763MFi will work on both iOS and Android.
What is the model of your printer? PT-773 is WiFi only, PT-763MFi is bluetooth only. Both models support iOS and Android. See the online manual here: download.brother.com/welcome/docp100149/cv_pj773_usaeng_usr_lbe501001.pdf
I translate your question as "How much is the price. Is it available in India?" The answer is, they are kind of expensive, range from $300 to $800 depending on whether it is new or used, and where you buy it. I think it is available in India, but difficult to find. Try google these: Brother PocketJet, PJ773, PJ-773, PJ-763MFi, etc. If you are using USB or Android, you can buy the older models such as PJ663 (bluetooth), or PJ622 (USB). The older models are still very good, I have one that has 24,000 page count and still works very well. You can find one on eBay between $80 to $160.
Oh, No. Unless you got it really cheap (like under $200), I would return it. PJ763 is only for Android and desktop/laptops via USB. It will never work with any iOS devices. Other than using an Android device, you best alternative is to get an 11" MacBook Air ($100 used) and connect it to the printer via USB. Hope that alleviate your pains.
@@brotherhackathon9107 I got it at a really good price here in Europe, in store is about 800Euros, I got it new sealed for 250, and the solution I found, do my work in procreate ipad, save it into my pinterest account then downloading the stencil on my laptop🤘🏻
@@brotherhackathon9107 since I got this printer I’m like a brother expert now lol, I know but the 773 it costs about 900 euros and it’s not really a deal since I got this one, thanks !
Yes, it does. PJ773 is a WiFi model. Follow the instruction on connecting the printer to your WiFi network. Then you can connect your Android devices to the printer via the apps.
Hello, on the back of the printer you can see explanation of the status lights. For example, if it stays on, that means it is being charged. It may take awhile before it is fully charged. Refer to the manual for more information.
This PocketJet printer is not a scanner. However, it will be a good idea if it does scan as well. Brother has a nice mobile scanner DS-940DW, which is about the same size as this printer.
I only know in the US. Amazon www.amazon.com/Brother-PocketJet-Direct-Thermal-Printer/dp/B016ASU53W/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=brother+pj773&qid=1634102333&s=music&sr=1-2
Correct. It can only print on one side as with all thermal paper. It is the shiny side with a coat of special chemicals that reacts to the heat from the thermal head.
@@mobilhome1824 That will be more than just a waste of "expensive" paper. Unless you wish to be 100% mobile, won't you want to print the booklets using regular paper (cheaper, faster, and better quality)? I love the PJ printer for its mobility. It is usually used by professionals on the go. CPAs, contractors, lawyers, etc. Police and exterminators (non-related) love to use this pocket printer to print tickets and invoices. :)
You can buy it from Amazon US. www.amazon.com/Brother-PocketJet-Direct-Thermal-Printer/dp/B016ASU53W/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=brother+pj773&qid=1634102333&s=music&sr=1-2
