Just for a little clarification: there is nothing wrong with playing full accuracy BBs. What I meant to say about it is that there is generally a stigma with accuracy built BBs that they tend to play from the back of the map to avoid HE spam/taking damage (usually running flammable cannonier), they're generally not very mobile (gyrating drillbits) and often are doing things that won't win matches (shooting other BBs, staying in the spawn). If played well there is nothing wrong with accuracy BBs, and they can do well. At the end of the day tho, play the game the way you want and just have fun. -Derka
This the issue. I love to brawl with BBs and for BBs that have good secondaries, I spec into them. If you don't get XP for that, then give those boats better guns, like you point out with this ship. What is the motivation to use them then? Seems like WG can't have it both ways, her are different types of BBs, but you can only play them one way? Screw it, I'll spec out Italian BBs and these German BBs to be secondary focused, it's more enjoyable
In my opinion that's one of the problems with this game is a lot of standard builds. I'm really hoping Wargaming will expand the modules and Commander inspirations so players can get more variety.

Easily one of the most fun ships in the game...great video from a great CC on what is fast becoming my favorite ship in the game. The fire starting Lyons build is no joke and hella fun to get withers and arsonist medals 🔥🔥

Expert breakdown of this line, especially this ship. I can't wait to get it. It's truly a high risk, high reward ship. It does seem a lot more balanced than say, oh i dunno, the B-Burg.
Yeah, no disrespect meant at all I didn't want to take away from the ship review by focusing on that. But in all fairness out of 7 or 8 games played this was my best result and I wanted to share my best👌
Overall it looks like it’ll be a fun line. I’ll probably try researching them after I’m done with Iowa but i’ll probably be done with it by Christmas. Great video and have a good one Derka!
I am enjoying this ship and this line. The speed and sonar really help to push destroyers out of smoke and caps. Yes I agree double accuracy is a bit boring but I have found success with it on this line. (Cunningham and iachino) If you catch a cruiser or destroyer in a bad position its nice to be able to get good hits on them. I find myself using this line as heavy destroyer escort. Worst case scenario you be come a big tempting distraction and die a bit early but your team may still win the match.
Playing the Mack a lot and really enjoy it. You can build for barrels and range but the secondary build is still a better option. However, with the Ark Royal out, is now incredibly infuriating to play with the limited dmg repair.
Thanks Derka. Gotten pretty tired of grinding for things in this game, so, it will be a while before I get this one. But it sure looks fun going with the secondaries. Done some secondary experimenting with my Massa so I know it can be a blast.

I do agree with the rant, WG could do so much more to elicit good/better game play from the player base. If they twerked the rewards and medals to reward the game play we need to have an improved experience, that would be a good start. Thanks Derka
Still grinding Derflinger as i didn't get any new BCs in the crates but they do look like a fun line. Brawling BBs rule. Secondaries rant also with you all the way.
Good info video and gameplay derka. I like the new line of german battle cruiser, but dont like the tier 4-5. From tier 6 they are good and lot of fun with full secundery build. I have just got tier 7 zieten but not upgraded yet, but fun anyway to play. They are good for some aggressiv playstyle i think. Wher you brawl instrad of sniping.
It’s very refreshing to hear a CC promote a secondary build. Many will just got straight to accuracy, but what’s the point, can do that in a bama or massa. I take it WG nit said anything more to the CC about 5 damage cons on a mod slot or captain?
Nice game and a kraken with a brawling BB to show who's the boss, I personaly love the Heinrich and i'm almost on the Zieten, but i can only agree on the secondary rant, had an absolute BANGER of a game with the Prinz Heinrich yesterday, 6 kills, 199k damage, sank all 3 DDs (mostly thanks to secondaries) and had almost 300 secondary hits, all this in a tier 7 game, i was looking forward for my first 4k xp game in months, result was 3.1k, first time i was THAT pissed off with more than 3k xp On a side note i just had Colbert, and man i didn't missed legendary tier, 6 loss in a row, 4 of em being more than 2k base, EACH time i'm the only ship in my team trying to get to the cap, LT is just horrendous to play rn, all the while i took my Kléber, again, only ship in the cap, i had a BUFFET, 6 kills and 3.8k base, spotted only 2 (!) times in the game, Kléber is an absolute monster with this crappy meta

Waiting for Shiefflen from PC, its a beast I went up against this ship against my Brandenburg pretty much 1 vs 1 and slaughtered it with my 11.9km secondaries.
I think an interesting build would be with Megatron. With his unique tier 1 perk, and damage con, you are looking at about 35 second fire duration. Definitely something to look into for helping with the limited Damage Cons.
Jon luc with hipper and hiruna for added he pen plus 2 added boosters is nice also swapping out Jon l for Ciliax same 2 inspirations for an added klm of range on them thar 2nd airies is imo another great option ...concealment imo is not necessary
This will be my 2nd tier 8 Tech tree line that I will complete behind the German battleships. I would like to see a tier 8 American alternate battleship line ship also since Kansas is pretty much a dead end I'd like to see A better version of it.
Looks like fun for the higher tiers. But I didn't get any of the ships from the crates and after grinding out all the tech tree ships in the game I'm not grinding shit anymore!
Good question, I mean their argument that the player is not actively involved in actually shooting secondary guns makes a little bit of sense untill you see the amount XP for AA and planes shot down🤔
@@DerkaGames And you need to actively position your battleship to really make those secondaries count because usually the range and accuracy of secondaries is not the best.
The way they give out xp for secondary builds is messed especially considering how they promote the secondaries on certain BB’s. There logic behind is also bs when as you said you factor the xp for aa. Makes no sense. It’s like they’re trying to make everyone play one style of build whether intentional or not.

This ship will be amazing going up against legendary carriers with its 2 damage cons. Throw a he spamming cruiser in and oh the joy. That's such nonsense about players not aiming their secondaries players purposely position their ship to get secondaries off.

She's tier 9 on pc and honestly not that great of a ship in terms of being countered against. Terrible deck armour that a Minotaur could kill you in about 20 seconds of rain EVEN when angled. Honestly can't wait to sell it for the schliefen
Makes me sad too, but I'm concerned about a copyright issue in the future if the owner of the track ever chose to go that route, I would be starting my channel from scratch 😦
I've been on Reddit talking about the deficiencies of this ship. Concealment needs to go down, significant, and secondary battery needs to be pushed out a tad further. Perhaps when WG gets around to providing a commander specifically for these ships, they can allow for concealment and further buffs to secondary beyond porcupine and that meticulous crap skill
