I joined the Army at the age of 17 from the years 2002-2005. I left to basic training one month after I graduated High School. I was in Iraq from Feb 2004 to March 2005. I joined Dept. of Corrections in 2006 all the way until 2022. I'm 38 years old brother. Born in 1984
@@xraided559 there is a bigger tradition in the northern valley of latino 18 year olds going into military service, go to small rural towns north of sacramento like Live Oak, Colusa, Hamilton and /biggs off the top of my head which are 75 to 80% latino. the parents have worked farming since the 60s.or 70s and there are maybe 5 to 10 kids going to college so kids have a choice of being a farm laborer or otherlow paying jobs and alot pick the military to GET OUT! I GRADUATED WAY BACK IN 1988 AND I HAVE 17 FRIENDS FROM HIGH SCHOOL WHO RETIRED FROM THE MILITARY FROM A GRADUATING HIGH SCHOOL CLASS OF 89 TOTAL. ITS THE POVERTY WAGES OF FARM LABORERS THAT THE TRY TO GET AWAY FROM. 99% OF HIGH SCHOOLS IN SOUTHERN CALIFAS DONT HAVE THE PERCENTAGES OF MILITARY SERVICE OR RETIREMENTS SCHOOLS UP NORTH DO 17 RETIRED AND 36 TOTAL SERVED. A LOT OF THOSE KIDS WOULD OF WENT TO COLLEGE IF THEY COULD INSTEAD OFMILITARY SERVICE BUT HAD NO OTHER WAY TO PAY BESIDES THE GI COLLEGE FUBD
Hey Bro Saludos Quick Question im sure you are Familiar with The Old Man 🖐🏿Richard ,Buchanan in Donovan state prison ,Back when it was GP Do you Remember him?
Great video Hector! The department really made some extreme changes in the last two decades. To be blunt, the politics changed so much I didn't waste time thinking about it. An OG LT once told me "If you want to know how the politics are going just look at the flag and whatever direction the wind is blowing that's how it going" the bullshit changes every week. Towards the end of my career, I became completely numb to everything. Staff and inmates noticed it to. We had an obese inmate overdose in the shower and we had to secure the area. After going through the code 1 procedures and getting ahold of medical, my partner called me a cold piece lol because I was relaxed and showed no emotion. He said I asked him about the Dodger game after medical took over.
I worked for corrections for 26 years. I started in CYA and retired in CDC. I started in October 1993 and retired in November 2019. I’m an army veteran too. I was in Panama 12/1989 to 1/1990 and Desert Shield/Desert Storm 8/1990 to 4/1991. The most violent place that I worked was SVSP. The biggest problem I had was with other staff, not the inmates. I’m sure you know what I’m talking about.
Exactly brother! Also, thank you for all your service and hope you're enjoying retirement. Shoot me an email, i'd like to hear your story tormenttactical@gmail.com
I remember those hunger strikes.I was on Centinela "C" Yard from "08 to "2011"...Me and my celly survived on half a top ramen a day even though we technically weren't sopposed to eat nothing...
Jesus said, repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. ( Matthew 4:17 ) The whole world is guilty of sin, and need to repent. Why die fighting for something that is fake, when you can die for something that is real, like the kingdom of God?
Love the channel man! Just a heads up, you should pick up an audio interface (something cheap like a focusrite scarlet 2i2 would work) and you can manage your audio levels and avoid distortion and clipping. Great content!
I agree, they run about 150 or less on amazon and that model is a great one even if you want to get into live interviews later on it will have the plug ins for you
I dig your measured way of talking you are very self-aware and respectful. It reminds me to work on my measured way of speaking. You are a true role model my man keep up the good work.🤙
Do you Remember IGI "EDROZO FROM DONOVAN STATE PRISON? HE SERVED ME WITH MY VALIDATION PACKET" IN THE COUNTY JAIL. I GOT REAL LUCKY AND ENDED UP GETTING INDICTED ON "OPERATION KEYS TO THE CITY" AND ENDED UP IN THE "FEDS.😬
Whats the difference between a correctional officer who works in a county jail verse a Sheriff Deputy who is assigned to working in a country jail for the first couple years of career?
The Sheriff's work the county jails, the State is the prisons. A Sheriff Deputy works the streets, but it's not mandatory for them to work the jails first.
The word is impunity, conducting oneself as if untouchable. Another word that comes to mind is hubris, highly arrogant or proudful. As you have said before hermano, be humble or get humbled. Stay blessed by living right people.
Evil people including our Leadership as well not just foreign. It's human nature whether some dial in to their evil more than others. FACTS. Good channel 👍
That’s weakness of the mind…..I did a few years in PB SHU and I’m good…. Just like thousands of other people who have done YEARS in there and are still good..

At HDSP we got quite a few of those heavies. They were called "executive bodies" on the yard and part of the "Inmate Advisory Council". Basically, they ran the prison. They met with the warden and captians and had meetings with all the high brass and told them how things are going to go down. How much pressure green puts on blue, or blue puts on green, how the program needs to be, made peace treaties etc. Those dudes have the power and make no mistake, they will take the yard if they want it and "we" the green would need to figure out a way to get it back. Lots of politics. One blink from those big guys and the army would jump. We got a few real deal Southerners and whites. man i remember when those dudes hit the yard the respect they got. As you have mentioned, they have body guards and all they're guys positioned wherever they go for protection. One big guy would have two guys stand in front of the shower every time he showered and got a full escort. Crazy.
You should do a video of the 2020 incident at RJD where the Officers were assaulted by a Member. I heard that was all bad, that they had the Facility Captain in their back pocket. Word on the tier is that Member no good now.
Can you elaborate more on COs getting eatin' alive or caught up in jams? Or higher ups, the lieutenants etc getting caught up in jams ? What do you mean?
Pollard Lol, I unfortunately had the displeasure of working for that person at 2 different institutions. Sadly he isn't the only one. There's Pollard's everywhere within CDCR nowadays.

Thank you Cliff, for your support since Day ONE! It was be awesome to hear how things run inside Michigan prisons, so we could have an idea how it differs from Cali. Myself, I have always been intrigued and fascinated by the gangs in Detroit and how crazy some of those neighborhoods look. tormenttactical@gmail.com
Being a parolee in 2018 cal state Sacramento b yard 3 bld gp and a participant in the hunger strikes tehachapi shu 4A and B before it became sny mainline ican say everything u say in your videos are 100%
Very few, but I did interact with a couple. At the time they weren't pushing the BGF, either that or they were chill and flying under the radar. It seemed like I ran into a lot of "former" BGF
I don't think he was comparing them like that. Just to add on to that I know a few Vietnam Vets who were both in Battle in Vietnam and on the Quentin Prison yards plus more. They told me Solitary confinement was just as bad as those killing fields.
