Yes but it may be that American shows don’t really center on police mistakes but we know they make A LOT in the US too. Police probably make them in every country.

All jokes aside I must have said 3 times during this video, That Was A Rookie Mistake. Surely that can't be good. Their is no reason they should not have searched his car for evidence.

In hindsight it seems they should have tested for gunshot residue and also checked the vehicle. But at that time they thought they were just searching for a lost hunter. Not a murder victim or a dead hunter. So I can see why they would not have taken those steps in those frantic moments they were beginning the search. It wasn't a criminal case at that point.

They police, & detectives were not experienced 2 deal with tht crime. They were out there depth from the get go. !!,👌💯%🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

@@kellyshomemadekitchen Yes, they are in the southern hemisphere so their seasons are opposite from ours. I was in South America (Argentina) a few years ago in July and it was dang cold. I had to buy some heavier clothing because at that time I didn't know it either. 🥰

Maybe the wife was told to keep quiet by the police as it might affect any future covert investigation, or maybe she was threatened with harm to the children since she said she didn't want to pursue an investigation into his disappearance and gave protecting the children as her reason. It's strange that Joann should engage in such a complete break with the other side of the family just because David's side cares enough to want to know what happened, especially when she was asked what kind of person David was and she responded that David was "the best". Nothing was pursued regarding the two bikers heard that day. The Coroner should have declared his death as an "unknown", because there is no evidence one way or another as to what happened, but declaring David's disappearance as "no foul play" precludes any further action on the part of the police. Strange that they asked Rob to fire his gun. The first thing I thought of was GSR to rule him out. Since David was such a high value person, the police should have treated the whole thing as misadventure going in and evaluated his vehicle before allowing it to be used in the search. As usual, the police did a poor job of handling things. Personally, I'm with Paul Prideaux, that this is misadventure. They should have found his remains or personal property at some point. Were cadaver dogs or blood hounds used in the search? Also, there is key evidence, the discs, that have gone missing with the police claiming they never existed when too many people know that they did. Arguably, there is something here that hasn't come to light yet. Something involving organized crime. Something the police are sitting on for their own reasons. I hope for the sake of Paul Prideaux and the families involved this mystery is solved in their lifetime.

I think maybe she felt betrayed because she found out he had cheated on her. And the kids had been through enough already. I can’t be sure though.

I think she's happy with his pension and life insurance payout.

I agree. I think the kids were old enough to understand and probably would have wanted to search themselves. The bit of news really made me suspicious as to what was going on between his wife and the brother-in-law that may have provided a motive for foul play. But I didn't hear anything about that narrative being investigated. I think it should have been.

Oh don't be a selfish troll! Obviously you didn't have a good time in prison. But that doesn't mean the people who run the prison caused that. Prison isn't supposed to be fun. It's punishment not a summer camp. Suck it up, follow the law, and stop whining about prison treatment. From other prisoners accounts, David treated prisoners with respect. If you have a violation complaint, go through the courts like everyone else has to. Don't plug your grievances in comments like this. So childish.
