This part blew my mind when I first saw it. The fact these were Makarovs guys but were able to sound American so well was awe inspiring and terrifying. The scene where they let him out if the cell brought a whole new meaning and significance to Makarovs’ “Remember, No Russian” line from the original Modern Warfare 2.
@@Deathmare235 Nolan is Australian and many of the higher ups are Russian. Them being fluent for the occassion makes them a formidable foe for embedding into the public.
@@Deathmare235 He was always Australian. Why else do hints of his nationality pop up during the campaign, particularly on the mission where you capture him?
Honestly this mission would have been way better if we were playing as Yuri instead of some new guy that doesn't even last a few missions before he's captured and forgotten by the plot. It would have done wonders to see what Yuri was like before he realized Makarov was batshit crazy.
Yeah would’ve been nice and maybe even set way before mwll so it would Yuri more time for him to leave Makarov, hell Yuri should’ve at least been an npc
As a guy who went diving, I like how they did their checks in the beginning at 0:22 I didn’t use anything on my chest like that but I can’t help but admire the goggle and rebreather check.
@@deucemoore5645 I wonder how hard it would be to guess that this is actually Konni guys before the twist (accents? attitude?), also how did they get a whole ass sub
@@Gen_ShadowCompany_203Man i think if i were one of the guards i would not be able to accurately deduce in the dark if these guys are russian or american, nowadays they look quite similar.
Konni operated under a front of a British PMC group called ‘Crown’ in DMZ. It's safe to say they also had British and western mercenaries under Konni's employ
@@syndicatepenguin8420I was gonna say that as well. Also, History would write this down as a Crown operation, rather than a Konni operation. Headline: “BRITS WORKING WITH WAR CRIMINAL?” Subheading: troops from the British Crown PMC broke into a prison in Kastovia, and extracted Russian war criminal Vladimir Makarov.
They should have added more missions like this in the campaign. The open combat missions were okay but they should have at least keep a couple of them or release all of them as a co-op type mode.
Mw3 had some good missions about the only ones I hated doing was the open world ish missions it felt like I was playing DMZ and it killed the pace of the game for me
hhhhhhhhhhhhhheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelllllllllllllllll no all along i thought it was nicoli or kamorv but only to see makarov the most dangerous vilan of them all
Despite MW3’s campaign being disappointing, this mission was actually decent. However, story wise, it would’ve been better if, before you break Makarov out, your teammates only had their squad designations, instead of having their names as well.
I think it adds a bit of mystique for new players unfamiliar with the old games. Like, these guys sound like Americans, hell, one of the dude’s have a western sounding callsign (Rook) but one of them is named “Ivan” which is typically stereotyped as a Russian or Eastern name. This gives players who are new a sign that this isn’t TF141 fighting for good.
I Haven't Played The Game, But How Many Players Thought They Were Rescuing A British/American Prisoner Due To Soldiers Using British And American Accents Until You Saw That Villain Coming Out Of The Smoke Bad Guy Soldier - Let's Go Get Our Leader And Remember No Russian
You know when it’s came out as Trailer reveal gameplay I thought we going to play as Someone completely new who’s from either TF141 or joint ops with US UK special ops But this is lot shocking A Russians capable making American British accent
Because Konni group isn’t just Russians. They’re mercenaries therefore, they have mixed nationalities including Andre Nolan (Australian) which is the character you’re playing on that specific mission.
Konni group is consisted with Makarov inner circle and Russian international pmc so it’s possible since Nolan being Australian Or maybe Russia or Russian ancestry on Europe or English speaking nations with Long experience on life abroad Russia Ivan had good English accent despite being Russian
4:15 the enemies “guards” speaks russian even tho we are the one who’s supposed to speak Russian cuz we are getting makarov, this games doesn’t make any sense
Я не понимаю, почему не наймут нормальных русских актёров для озвучки? Мне как русскому человеку абсолютно не приятно слышать этот ломанный русский язык с американским, таджикским акцентом.

They were speaking English so that it made it look like "Americans" were trying to break Makarov out of jail. It's basically a false flag attack. It's the same as the No russian in the original Trilogy "Remember no russian" - To make it seem like Americans Did the terrorist attack. The other weird thing is that after this mission some missions pass right and then there is a cutscene where we see Makarov and the entire Konni Private Company but Makarov still Spoke English.
This comment makes zero sense. One: These guys are speaking utilizing internal comms so how the fuck would anyone come to the conclusion that Americans are responsible for this when they would have not been able to hear them. The only possible explanation is that their comms are compromised and the guards are listening in on them which would make these guys incredibly stupid that they are verbalizing execution commands on COMPROMISED COMMs and that the guards listening to this are not reacting in any way. Two: if they're trying to make this a false flag attack how come nothing came of it? An operation of this magnitude would undoubtedly invite retaliation and would be headlines everywhere but it's never mentioned in any meaningful way which would imply increasing tensions between America and Russia, which means that the story was not written with this factor in mind. The whole speaking English thing can simply be explained as oversight be the writers who obviously did not care or are not capable of writing a cohesive plot in this dogshit game
