Fun Fact: Captain Price was originally meant to die in OG COD4 at the end of the final mission, and MW2 was never meant to be attached to the COD story hence why the COD logo is so small on the Modern Warfare 2 cover because Activision and their infinite wisdom decided to force infinity ward to attach the game to the original storyline so they had to come up with a way bringing back Captain Price, if you watch an old interview with Billy Murray (OG Cpt. Price) at the MW2 launch in 2009, he says “Since the first game (COD 4) the characters have become iconic so the developers came to me and said well you’re not dead” Madness lmao
I thought I'm the only one who notice that... Same like the end of loose end mission when the chopper spraying makarov's troops in woods... The operator only said "guns guns guns" once
Gotta love Soap's style. Dude mostly gets the facts straight, make a subtle joke about it and gets to work. Ultimate "whatever, let's get it done" guy.
@@dontfuckwiththewhat It lets him grow though. We can see him as a lieutenant this round, watch him become a Captain and hopefully not die this time around. I never understood why they killed Soap and not Price at the end of MW3.
MW2 is such a ridiculously GREAT follow up to the original, it set the bar super high for the finale in this to clear. My hope is that we get MW3 remastered at some point either this year or next before they continue on with the Modern Warfare 2 remake however that goes.
Puppy 525 Yea, forgot about that for a second. Haven’t touched multiplayer since the first month of release. I personally didn’t like it but warzone is really fun.
I like how they were actually pretty accurate with the loadout and acronyms such as SEAD (suppression of enemy air defenses) and two HARMS( homing anti radiation missiles) used for shorting radar emitting devices
It was there originally, but had no subtitles so I never realized it was Price yelling that. Guess he must've been happy to get out of the Gulag and in such a badass way.
I think that in this mission sheperd tried to kill soap and roach three times. The first one during the start of the mission when they are on the helicopter and the jet blows up the tower near them, the second during the night vision section after going through the hallway and last when they escape with Price.
There's a theory that Shepard was the true mastermind who helped Makarov start the war so he can be a war hero by winning it. He might have told Makarov about Allen or even shared stuff to the Russians like info of the ACS module.
It's crazy watching the beginning cutscenes now that I'm older and actually understand more of the last century. The whole thing about the purge and what not completely went over my head when I first played this years ago
But if you played the first game you will notice Everytime you play as sas in the campaign the beginning of the mission shows his name at the bottom “soap” mactavish,
Not to nerd out but think about it..this is the one of the coolest craziest stories ever, between soap and price ,then how price chases down shep than mak is epic!! absolute poetry of badassness.
What’s better is that Worm is in the entire mission unlike the original one where he just randomly appeared at the end of the mission And also in the remastered version, Soap used his m14 to fire at the enemy but in the original version he didn’t fire anything with the weapon.
Yeah, because there is a type of grenade launcher that can shoot flares which is the 37mm Grenade Launcher and the M4a1 was attached with the grenade launcher
If you look closely soap was telling the guys “this way this way” even to the Russian dude but the Russian dude obviously didn’t understand him just look at his hand signals
It's bad enough for me on regular mode so didn't bother on veteran mode Only tried one of stages once on veteran mode so went back to the easier mode - way better and enjoyable playing it without too much of a headache
Re spawned multiple times on downfall on call of duty world at War then proceeded to come back and made it all the way through without re spawning even once. First time ever It's mega hard on veteran mode
i never played or really seen much from MW 2019, so when i played warzone and saw the gulag, i instantaneously flashed back to the slow mo breach in and Price knocking me tf down. memories.
I love Soap’s accent so much 🏴 // I really wish they kept the original Mw 2 M4A1 assault rifle sound. Doesn’t sound as beefy and badass here. But it’s okay it’s not the end of the world
When Price said *Whatever you gonna do Soap, do it fast * in my opinion maybe Price telling Soap that a Captain must think fast and a Captain must plan something right.
They could have made Price look a little bit younger, same with gen. Shepherd, Soap looks just great in the remaster. Also, since it seems they don't plan to release MW2R multiplayer, it would be awesome to see spec ops remastered at least.
Marshall Thompson i saw a video that it was in his dog tag on infinite warfare but I never played the game myself, my guess it was an Easter egg that not many people noticed.
The "Fox 3 Fox 3" apparently annoyed me for some reason. Also when Jester said "four HARMs for the section," did anyone get major "Team Player" vibes where Devil One One used HARM anti radiation rockets to destroy a bunch of buildings?
@@clyde15 The funniest thing is that I often fly over this place by helicopter (IRL, yes, I am a volcanologist by profession). These places are completely uninhabited :)
Legend says, these F-15 pilots are really badass pilot. ▪The chopper pilot will get mad when he relizes the F-15 flies right on his starboard side. ▪Conducting SEAD with very low altitude, and attacking from close range. I thought they can just shoot that HARM miles away before the target being in sight rather than try to act like an ace combat pilot. ▪HARM's launch code is Magnum Meanwhile Fox 3 is what pilot call when they launch an active radar homing Air to Air missile beyond visual range. Overall.. it's an awesome game. Except, for the guy who ask "who's soap" How many time you take a bath, but you dont know who is soap :v lol
Everyone else: "YEAH! That opening kicked ass!" Me, who knows a bit more: "FFS... can the devs do some research on what the US Navy has?" (Yes, I know it's just a game, and it's not meant to be that realistic... but still! My inner plane nerd is screaming.)
