I get it. He's not actually a prisoner of war. Well he is. But in an emotional sense. The ied blast he feels was his fault. That's making him a prisoner in his own mind.

+like2thc a lot of those deaths have nothing to do with war or military. There's a standard rate for almost any class or field. More veterans die because of war, but not all veterans die because of PTSD or war. Some would have died regardless of whether they served or not.

Fergesslich If you are saying my dad was not honorable then you are full of shit and have no clue what life is about. I really dont get what you meant by that so why dont you explain. My dad was in the war he did not die in the war he died in 2013 at the age of 90....he was a hero.....unlike what most people think heroes are today.

This needs to be shared as much as possible, a lot of civilians do not understand the sacrifices, physical and mental tolls taken on a veteran who has seen combat. This video is somewhat of a window we can look through and see what challenges they face and it gives a pretty good glimpse that only they know and feel. Thank you to those who have fought! And for those who have passed, lest we forget!

Josh Kelly best suits the role of this film considering he has served in the US Army in the past. He has the vast experience and knowledge on how it feels to be in such a desperate position. The message is so deep and thought provoking so as to elicit our undying support to the brave men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice for all of us to have freedom and peace. #joshkelly #veterans #usmilitary

Get off your ass and get in the game, lets help out our fellow vets and get that number as low as we can. Listen to them, get them help, always pick up that phone when they call. My battle buddy killed himself 2 months ago. I spoke to him 12 hours before he did it, we were going to have lunch on SUN, he killed himself a midnight SAT. I saw no signs, no symptoms, no cries for help. I miss him with all my heart, I am mad he did this and heartbroken at the same time, we could have worked this out together. The church was full at his memorial, he had no idea how many people loved him.

Outstanding film and this actually hits pretty close to home for me. My sister's ex-huspand was a Marine and got ptsd while over there. After a few tough years of jail, no job, lost wife, and no where to go he shot himself at his parents house. Its sad how so many people fail to realize how horrible ptsd can is on your mind. People just think that since its a mental problem it can be easily fixed or prevented when in reality a victim needs every source of help they can get. Hope this gets around to people.

It’s really sad to know most of our veterans when they get home feel lost, alone, and guilty.... we’re prisoners of our own mind it’s the ones who paid the ultimate sacrifice and never made it back that are truly at peace. If you have a friend or family member that is a veteran let them know there not alone. And there are things out there to make life worth living. I’ve had a gun to my head multiple times but now am in a space were I appreciate life and most of the people in it. Love you all thank you for your service. Till Valhalla 🍻🇺🇸

This video is exactly like looking into the nanosecond by nanosecond thoughts of a war torn veteran who feels he is to blame. This is what the veteran thinks about all day, while he is labeled a mentally defective member of society by those who don't have the slightest inkling of what he's been through. These veterans deserve so much more than our own people give them. It's a damn shame. Wake up, sleeping American citizens. While you play around, work, go to your child's soccer games, school events, and kids, and teens who go to the movies, chat all day on their phones, these men DIE for us, and even lose their minds for us! But I believe if we as a citizen people, for one damn second, pulled our heads out of our asses, and gave these veterans what they deserved, then maybe more of them could recover from their pain! LOVE HEALS ALL WOUNDS!

This is a great example showing people what it's like to be made prisoner during War. Glad the Military teach you how to act in these situations. The 5 rules I call it! Escape, Remember Your Surroundings, Resist, Keep the faith and come home with honor. Captors will try everything to get into your brain and make you think the way they want you to think, to get you to talk. They'll affect you physically and mentally until you give them what they want, but you got to stay strong and don't take in what they say.

This isn't about being a prisoner of war. it's about being a prisoner of war mentally. In his head he killed his friends and injured the others. That it was his fault they died and stuff. That he could of stopped it but he beats his self up and blames him self that the only way out is suicide.

It amazes me, how much pride america and americans take in regards to their Armed Forces and veterants. In my country they're treated as filth and looked down upon, for doing something so great. Serving their nation and fighting for peace in this world. The world would be a better place, if we'd appreciate everybody's life and fight fight for theirs and ours.

Really emotional video on some of the things we as Americans over look. We need to find a solution and give back to our veterans and not treat them like dirt. God bless all Veterans that have served in the armed forces.

An extremely accurate portrayal. Well done, and thank you guys for sharing this. So many vets and current serving can relate to this.. Prisoner of war.
